"Rare and vintage drum machine AK Electronic Drummer Model CRM-260 with the original box and a brand new compatible power supply!


DESCRIPTION: The AK Electronic Drummer Model CRM-260 is a small but solid build Rhythm Box from the 1980's. The machine was made In Korea and was selled through AK (a german electronic shop, like RadioShack) and also sold as Conrad Drummer Model CRM-260.

The Unit offers 8 mixable presets rhythms: Trot, Waltz, Rock, Slow Rock, Disco, Cha Cha, Bossanova and Rumba. The CRM-260 has two knobs for VOLUME (red) and TEMPO (blue). Two buttons on the front are for POWER and START. A red LED above the start button shows the first measure of the selected rhythm. On the back there are two standard jacks for PEDAL/FOOT-SWITCH (pedal not included!) and OUTPUT and the DC-9V Adaptor jack.

Curious: when none of the rhythm is selected, the CRM-260 still plays a very simple rhythm. It's also possible ''mixing'' the rhythms by pressing two or more buttons simultaneous."

rare birds: Dynacord Magic 370 spring reverb [& Korg Mini Pops 120]

"this is a quite rare spring reverb built by Dynacord in the late 60s. As minimal as it can possibly be: a black box with only a socket (input/output) and a gain level. Not even a power switch ! This particular unit was fully recapped and it sounds very nice, deep but quite bright for a spring reverb. Tank is a Accutronics one and electronics is only transistor based. The pot is not a blend pot but a gain level. As you can hear you can get the unit to overdrive quite easily. You need to set the unit as an aux to your mixing desk or soundcard. If you plug an instrument directly you will get wet sound only. In this demo it is connected to a RME babyface as an aux, and I used a Korg Mini Pops 120 (btw for sale here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/305744488287) and a Roland SH-101 as source materials"

"classic Korg Minipops 120, the last drum machine from the Mini Pops serie. Unit was serviced, partially recapped and calibrated. It's in fully working order. Unit was also slightly modded: the balance knob which originally acted as a kind of EQ (boosting bass on the left side and high on the right side) is now acting as a HI Hats / Cymbal volume (like it should have IMO) so you can totally dialed off the hi hats / cymbal and it allows for more rhythmic variations, perfect for those breaks."

THIS video is for you that knows NOTHING about synthesizers, but you've heard of them. You've seen them, and you want to know how they work. Maybe you're to shy to ask questions. This video is for you.
When you master the basics of a synth you can pretty much use all synths.
In this video I show what is known as subtractive synthesis.

The synth I'm using in this video is a Roland Juno-106 from the mid 80s. You can also get this as a computer program and use it directly from the computer, hooked up to a master MIDI keyboard.

The end music uses only synth sounds from this particular synthesizer. The drums are not from the synth though.

"Follow this on any synthesizer. Whether you're got VSTs, hardware, vintage or modern, synths covered in knobs or menu based programming.. this will show you how to tweak your tones or start from scratch. Over 99% of synthesisers use the same fundamental building blocks and the secret to programming synths is that they're all pretty much the same. Learn the basics and everything else falls into place.

In this I demo the classic synth architecture, called subtractive synthesis, which has just 4 essential modules. Oscillators, Filters, Envelopes and LFOs - you can produce loads of tones without even and LFO... but I kept it in as you see them on pretty much everything.

I use a Juno 60 to start as its got everything clearly laid out in a knob per function so you cant go wrong. I also show bits of increasing complexity on a Moog Minimoog, a Roland Jupiter 4, an UDO Super6 and some menu diving on a Roland Juno DS.

If you watch this from start to finish you'll have all the basics you need to pick up any synths and get programming."
