Everything Sounds Better Once It's Inside The Digitakt II
video upload by EZBOT
"Making a song from scratch is always an adventure. The instruments you choose to sequence or sample determine the narrative for your track. I chose to use the Teenage Engineering OP-1 Field and the Hologram Microcosm to guide me into what was later referred to as the "space jungle." This track falls into the jungle-IDM genre. Check it out, and you might find some cool examples of techniques to try in your next tune.

Additional Tone Tweakers Listings
"Fully refurbished by professionals and better than the rest. This required 5 hours of highly skilled expert synth tech labor. This unit was cleaned inside and out. We replaced all electrolytic capacitors. We opened, cleaned and lubed all pots and switches and cleaned all jacks. The end result is an X911 that works perfectly and sounds great that's justifiably priced higher than the typical junk on the market and that's ready for its next happy home.

"Very nice analog preset rhythm unit from the late 60s. It features 12 patterns that can be combined and 4 manual trigger sounds (snare roll, claves, tom 1 and tom 2), very much like the Farfisa Rhythm 10.
On the back of the unit you can set the 'impedance' and the "tone" of the unit. Also a pedal input is availbale for start stop.
intro synth used is a Korg Poly 61. Drum and synth recorded through a Teisco Vocal 120 in order to add spring reverb."

"Okay, now that's what I call vintage. Not the recent 'MFB 501 Pro' version, but the original 1980, 330,- DM (that was more than this 2024 priice, I'm pretty sure), best-selling one that could be found in many German households during the early 80s (I imagine).
Despite that it's quite rare, as far as I know, probably because: it sounds REALLY GREAT! I haven't been in the position to do a shoot out, but though there's a lot to be said in favour of the 'Pro, I'd say this one sounds quite a bit phatter. Drum machines just like most drum humans get phatter over time, I guess.
Do your homework before considering this, though; important to know is that it has no MIDI but is synced the way they synced in 1980, AND it is NOT programmable but DOES have oh I don't know around 200? funky, fünky presets, all in 3 variable versions, + you can mute and unmute every innstrument, so you'll probably be good. You'll be better."
