Oberheim’s SEM sequenced with Metal Fetishist

"I had the opportunity to borrow an original Tom Oberheim SEM reissue from a friend and this video is a selection of some sounds I came up with. The 2 Metal Fetishists are in sync and being used as sequencers for the SEM’s pitch and gate CV inputs. Aside from that I tried to keep the patching to a minimum. What can I say about the SEM? it is very fun to play and it sounds absolutely amazing. I loved playing with the filter resonance to get classic Oberheim textures. As for the Metal Fetishist, sometimes I like using it as “just” a sequencer for my monophonic synths, so I thought this was a good opportunity to showcase how I do it. EMBODME EARE 2 with modular synth

"Testing the ERAE 2 with my modular.
This time, no LARIX-ELEKTRO modules.

I was building a CV controlers, with faders and joysticks. For my own use (not for a futur module, no). Can I replace it by the ERAE 2 ?

In fact, not completely. The ERAE is much better to use as an instrument: quick changes are possible, it's a real pleasure to use it.
(As you will see on the video, it needs training I don't have yet...)
But for slow movements, or precise adjustments, a real fader is better (to my tast).

So I will keep both :)

"A piece created using the ‪@SequentialLLC‬ Prophet-10, ‪@buchlausa‬ Music Easel, and a modular synthesizer. Gently evolving, layered drone sounds repeatedly appear and disappear.

The main drone sound is generated by processing Mutable Instruments' Plaits with filters and reverb. The ‪@MAKEN0ISEMUSIC‬ Morphagene captures piano sounds and plays them back in fragments.

On the Music Easel, a looping modulation is routed through a low-pass gate, causing the sound to emerge periodically.

The Prophet-10 is used to play a synth pad sound with a long attack and release."
