"The Blue Book is the official tutorial for the Yamaha CS1x, a synth from 1996.
I produced this book and demos together with Peter Krischker (Easy Sounds). Now let my play some of these tutorial voices. They are still good for learning the synth programming. And yes, you can use them as templates. You find both - the Blue Book (PDF) and the sound data (MIDI) for free.

"A piece created using the ‪@SequentialLLC‬ Prophet-10 and ‪@teenageengineering‬ OP-1 field. The gentle electronic tones from both synthesizers overlap and gradually fade away.

The sound from the OP-1 field is processed through ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ LOSSY with filtering. LOSSY is CV-controlled by the ‪@KORG_INC‬ SQ-1, causing its parameters to change gradually.

The Prophet-10 is played manually, with its output processed through blueSky for reverb."

"Because I'm stubborn and silly, I made a 'stand-in' to try to get better focus when recording video of myself. It's silly because I have decent auto-focus lenses and my cameras have good face tracking BUT my most expensive lenses are manual only cinema lenses that aren't well suited for doing solo operator work in front of the camera, but because I think they are cool and I invested a lot of money in them I insist on using them, even when it's not practical! 🙄😆

The music here is from beta test I did last year for a new Synthesis Technology E430 VCF that is now in production. "

Freshly built kit. Zlob Modular TREPANATOR is a 'bent by design' module, inspired by the great Benjolin from Rob Hordijk, but quite different.
First encounter with this thing, with just a bit of white noise into the filter, it was WILD!
