Announcing Firmware 1.2 for Polyend Synth
video upload by Polyend
"Let's look at some of the features added in Synth Firmware 1.1 and 1.2.
Download the latest firmware and read the full changelog: https://polyend.com/downloads/synth-d..."
Changes from 1.1.0 to 1.2.0
Synth firmware 1.2 focuses on interface improvements and disabling effects when they aren’t active to free up additional CPU.
NEW FEATURES
Effects (Rev, Mod, Del) are not activated when not used in a scene
Dim Mode added to the system settings.
Interface improvements to help avoid clipping and distortion
Master Volume now shows dB values instead of a line
Mixer Level meter turns red when clipping
Maximum mixer sends set to 0dB instead of +12 (Old projects will still load with the value saved at +dB settings)
Added screen indicators to help troubleshoot when a Synth isn’t playing a sound
Added an all note off option to stop hanging notes
Access via Main Menu > All Notes Off
FIXES
GRAIN Burst Ratio parameter values were playing at double the specified tempo
An incorrect engine could load on when mapping PC change options if patches shared the same name
Freeze when using Layout and Mode knobs on Grid page simultaneously
Clicking when using crossfaders for Mod > Rev or Mod > Del could sometimes occur
Aftertouch did not work if a pad was hit extremely hard
Preventing hanging of held notes when Local Mode is changed to off
PC change could corrupt the loaded patch and browsers
The patch preview was removed from PC mapping to prevent this issue
Freeze after loading a scene with PC Mappings multiple times
Quickly scrolling the program change mapping list sometimes switched the active patch
Switching pages would occasionally result in an empty parameter page
Main Menu navigation sometimes cut off
Held Notes were not highlighted after switching instruments on seq
AudioScape Eurobuss VCA Buss Compressor Review (updated)
video upload by Molten Music Technology
Follow-up to this post.
"The Eurobuss VCA Compressor from AudioScape Engineering is based upon the G-Series bus compressor found in classic SSL consoles. They're spun it into a Eurorack module in the hope that it might bring joy, glue and cohesion to your modular noises. Headphones recommended for this one."

Resynthesizer by Make Noise - Ambient performance
video upload by Jay Hosking
"A live synthesizer jam performed entirely on the Make Noise Resynthesizer.
This might be the most beautiful instrument I own.
Eurorack is traditionally about choice, about configuring a case to your preferences or imagination. The Make Noise Resynthesizer is the antithesis of this, in many ways. It's a crafted case from only one manufacturer, from their imagination, and with a specific philosophy and goal in mind. In this respect, it is an instrument, with the strengths and limitations inherent in any instrument. And when you embrace those strengths and limitations, it's truly incredible what it can create.
This is the very first patch I made with the Resynthesizer, with no goals in mind, without any sample content loaded onto the Morphagene (sampler). I didn't even know how to use half of the modules going in, and still don't know how to use many of them in any depth. But it's a testament to the Resynthesizer that it has a unified philosophy, and that its two main sound-creating voices (the Morphagene and the Spectraphon, a dual stereo oscillator) work so well together. What a synth.
I learned how to quickly sample the Spectraphon into the Morphagene, learned how to use the basics of René, and away I went. Within minutes I was making sounds and music I hadn't approximated with any other gear before.
Not only am I pleased with the musical results, I'm truly excited about the depth of this machine, to learn more of what it can do, to embrace its strengths and limitations and see what comes out of it, free of expectations.
Performed and recorded live to a stereo output, with EQ, compression, and limiting on the master.
Thanks for listening.

"Third exploration with the Koma Elektronik Chromaplane analog synthesizer👌🏽
This time I’m using a 1974 Panasonic RD-8944 rhythm machine into the Chromaplane with an improvisation piece with only one pickup, and my improvised magnet pins! 🎛️
I think I’m going to record an EP❤️

ESK - No Input Mixer Symphonic Drone 3
video upload by Metunar
"Third feedback drone with a no input mixer patch.
This time i switch the feedbacks from low to high frequency with HPF.
The sound sources are 10 feedback loops from an Allen & Heath WZ3 14:4:2 analog mixer (white fader on the mixer) and 2 filtered noises form the Clavia/Nord G2 Engine (blue Fader).
All this sounds go parallel into 6 effects sends. 3 sends of them go to the modified Roland VG-8 (red fader) and the other 3 go to the Nord G2 Engine with filtered delay and reverb (yellow fader)."

Synamodec - Saga // Four-fold experimental Noise Machine
video upload by NOISEBUG
"The Synamodec Saga is essentially a supergroup of Synamodec’s signature noise and destruction synths. Featuring an array of their greatest hits, the Saga includes Astrogorus, Synadrone, Dementor and Levitate. There are internal routing options, or patch each panel to their own channel for quadraphonic chaos. SAGA is a very rare beast. There are only two available at this time, and both can be purchased from Nosiebug."
