Nord Modular G2X w/ Extras

"Likely only around 500 units of the 61-key Nord Modular G2X were ever produced, exact production number unknown. Each factory-equipped with the polyphony expansion — making it far rarer and more capable than the standard G2.

Listed intentionally at a high price to preserve genuine interest. ;)

Currently enjoying life in the studio among equally distinguished company – but if a serious offer comes in, I’ll listen.

Rare find Nord Modular G2X in near mint condition, complete original set – includes factory soft case, factory gooseneck mic, original user manual and installation CD. Fully serviced, recapped, running the latest OS.

Main features:
– Morph system: control up to 25 parameters with a single controller.
– Modular engine: hundreds of modules; VA oscillators, PM/shape oscillators, String Osc (physical modeling), complete sequencer family.
– Keyboard/control: 61 keys with velocity and aftertouch, Clavia pitch stick + mod wheel, plus two additional programmable LED-ring mod wheels unique to the G2X.
– I/O: built-in XLR gooseneck mic with preamp (for vocoder and audio modulation), 4 audio inputs / 4 audio outputs.
– Internal routing: internal audio bus between Slots, dedicated arpeggiator and vibrato LFO with no wasted modules.
– Multitimbral: 4 independent Slots, Performance mode for layers and splits, 8 Variations per patch switchable in real time.
– Rarity: the G2X includes the factory Voice Expansion, providing greater polyphony than the standard G2.
– Condition: full set, serviced and recapped, latest OS, all encoders and buttons work perfectly.

Not for sale at any price – serious buyers only."

Roland Jupiter-4 - The Analog Polyphonic Pioneer
A deep dive into my favorite Jupiter the Roland Jupiter-4, exploring its unique features and the reasons it is often overshadowed despite its significant contributions. The enduring legacy of the Roland Jupiter-4, a foundational analog polyphonic synthesizer, is explored in this video. Its pioneering sound and significant impact on electronic music are highlighted.

I used in the demo track:
Roland Jupiter-4 (1978) most sounds
Roland TR-808 (1982) drums
PPG wave 2.2 (1982) choir sounds"

A stereo Korg Poly 61

video upload by Craig Barnes

"As my poly 61 is now controlled by a dedicated editor, the editor hardware can be used to control a Behringer June 60 chorus, a simple mod of the June 60 to use 5v relays instead of push buttons and it can be controlled by a micro."

Kurzweil K250 (1984)

video upload by MrFirechild

"Kurzweil K250 is a legendary synthesizer from 1984 and back then it was many years ahead of its competition! It was the worlds first rompler! For those owning Fairlight and Synclaivers you were able to use orchestral sounds but you have to load them from huge floppy discs or mega expensive hard drives and it took many minutes to load a single sound! The Kurzweil K250 changed all that! With a boot time in milliseconds you now had the full orchestra in your hands within a blink of an eye! All sounds were in ROM and instantly available. Despite the samples were all in mono and almost no velocity layers, they sounded good! And still do! Back then in 1984 you must have been really impressed to say the least! However the Kurzweil K250 was not for everyone as it was slightly expensive, around $12.000 for a basic configuration. However both the Fairlight Series II and Synclavier were way more expensive! So fair enough! How does it sound today you may ask and thats why I did this composition. Needless to say the K250 is mainly designed to play acoustic and orchestral sounds. There are only like 3 Synthesizer sounds in the machine! I used 1 in this track as an intro sound. So don't expect analog synthesizer glory when playing a K250!
The track is called Orchestral Rays and is an original composition by Mr Firechild (October 2025).
The following synthesizers were used for ALL sounds:
