Overall, it’s a lightweight, performance-oriented gadget meant for fun expressive playing. Super fun instrument that is hard to find in the US market. "Roland SH-2 Analog Synthesizer (1979) w/ Original Gig Bag included for free!

I’m pricing it lower than usual for a quick sale due to an unexpected expense. No issues with the synth — just need to move it quickly.

It’s in good condition, fully functional, and sounds amazing — rich, fat bass and creamy leads that only real analog gear can deliver.

Cosmetically, there are some normal signs of age, but everything works as it should — all keys, sliders, and switches respond perfectly.

The SH-2 is a simple layout, huge sound, and built like a tank."

Bad Gear - This Time it's PERSONAL

video upload by AudioPilz

"Welcome to Bad Gear, the show about the world’s most-hated audio tools. There is no shortage of synth manufacturers offering costly top-shelf instruments: PolyBrutes, UDOs, all the old stuff but new and even Roland started channeling their inner Teenage Engineering.

Today, however, we are going to talk about Nord Modular. This range of digital high-end modular synths was introduced in 1998 and not only is there no modern successor in sight, they also made it incredibly hard to use the originals properly. This time it’s personal!

EP-133 K.O.II Textures & OP-1 field Synth Loops | Flatness 2025-11-21 by atnr

video upload by atnr

"This piece was created using the ‪@teenageengineering‬ EP-133 K.O.II and the OP-1 field.
It is a minimal electronica track where repeating electric-piano tones gradually shift in color and eventually converge into a single unified sound.

The EP-133 K.O.II is processed through both the ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ MOOD MKII and LOST+FOUND.
On the MOOD MKII, reverb is applied while the CLOCK is adjusted to create pitch shifting, and the TAPE effect is manipulated to produce micro-loops.
On LOST+FOUND, the IMPULSE SYNTHESIZER generates synth textures based on the electric-piano tone, while the PINGING PHASER adds a resonant, shifting movement.

On the OP-1 field, synth sounds sampled from the Moog One are played with filtering applied.
Additional reverb is added using the master effect to deepen the atmosphere."

The Smoke-Grey Season (composition) for Clavinet, Arp 2600, Voyager and Mellotrons

video upload by R. Reger

"A little showcase of the clavinet’s versatility in non-funk contexts -- it's played thru a couple different stompboxes and an overdriven Leslie 3300. The title is borrowed from the great Chicago novelist Nelson Algren. Downloads are available at regermusic.com."

Vangelis on the Real CS-80 (Now with Proper FX!) | Blade Runner + Chariots

video upload by Andy Whitmore

"After a bunch of you (rightly!) pointed out how much Vangelis relied on reverb, delay, and chorus, I went back in and rebuilt the atmosphere properly. This is the CS-80 as it was meant to be heard: huge, cinematic, and dripping in Blade Runner / Chariots energy.

In this video I play 8 classic Vangelis riffs on my original CS-80, matching both the synth tones and the iconic effects vibe as closely as possible."
