"Latronic Notron MK II (blue) — the iconic, hands-on MIDI step sequencer used by Björk, Peter Gabriel, FSOL, The Orb, and others.

This is the later MK II blue version, produced in very limited numbers (well under 200 units total). Fully working, studio-kept, and tested.

If you know what a Notron is, you already know why it’s special:
real-time, performance-driven sequencing with zero screens, zero menus, and immediate tactile control.

Important / Value Add:
This unit includes TWO spare, pre-flashed processor ICs at no extra cost.

Early Notrons are known to have a rare failure mode where static discharge or power-supply issues can damage the main processor. My unit was shipped back to England to have the main board swapped out in order to prevent this from happening.

Because I took that precaution, I never ran into any CPU problems in nearly 30 years of ownership, but about 10 years ago I acquired several original, pre-flashed replacement CPUs specifically as long-term insurance.

Two are included free with the sale.

I also have three additional spare processors available separately for $75 each if the buyer wants extra peace of mind.

Condition:
– Fully functional
– All LEDs, switches, wheels, and MIDI functions working
– Non-smoking studio environment

One small area of paint has been rubbed off on upper right side where the unit moved against my rack (pictures included)
There are three wide strips of hook-side Velcro on the back. I added these about 15 years ago for live use — it allows the Notron to be held securely at almost any angle (on a stand, case, or surface), which I found extremely practical. (Seriously, this stuff is awesome - I could basically hang the Notron upside down. Highly useful for keeping it on a sketchy stand when in active use.)
The Velcro can be removed cleanly without residue if the buyer prefers, or I’m happy to leave it. (I'd recommend leaving it unless you know you're not going to want it.)

Features at a glance:
– 4-row / 16-step interactive MIDI sequencer
– Per-step velocity grouping, note length, echo, overdrive
– Event-based modulation (pitch, CCs, transposition - this is an incredibly powerful feature and lets you make synths sound completely different than any other device out there)
– Beatwrap & Beatcreep timing tools
– Chord memory, chaining, rebound, Supersteps
– Sends & receives MIDI clock, Start/Stop

Includes power supply. Ships safely packed and insured.

This is one of the most expressive MIDI sequencers ever made — and this example comes with rare, practical long-term protection that almost never accompanies these units."

UDO Super 6 // DAY 6 #jamuary2026

video upload by Dexba

"Washing my brain today without any beat, with a single instrument, on the floor: throwback to the OG Dexba 😄 The Super 6 by UDO is so effortlessly cool.
I am not strictly talking about the sound it produces, but the whole experience: tactile, visual, and auditory. JAMuary is still at the beginning, so I didn't get too crazy with the patch, and I also wanted some relax and pure sound/chord enjoyment.
This recording made me make peace with my OB-6 sale; we should never sell anything, some sales hurt more than others, and until this session, the OB6 was one of those hurting the most. Not anymore!
Yes, playing in this position is not ideal, and you'll inevitably hear the spot where something slipped, but it helps me so much reconnect with the pure joy of playing, outside of the room I've appointed studio.
I hope you'll like it! 🧡"

Exploring Xenodrive FX unit #techno

video upload by Yan Cook

"Exploring the Xenodrive FX unit from ‪@EricaSynths‬
This box is a beast for adding analog warmth and grit to your tracks.

What I loved:
Overdrive & EQ: Superb tone and very intuitive. I’m really impressed with the character of the overdrive, and the EQ is incredibly useful for sculpting the tone.
Extras: Having the compressor and noise gate built-in makes it a really versatile tool for any signal chain.

The Challenge:
Waveshaper: It’s very destructive! Works well on basic waveforms, but I’m still looking for the best way to utilize it on more complex patches.

KIVIAK WoFi - "Fierceful Sequential Machines"

video upload by Alba Ecstasy

"Hi! The team from KIVIAK Instruments sent me the WoFi right before the Christmas.
And since then, there hasn't been a day that I haven't played the WoFi!

I’m not mastering it at it’s very best, yet! - but this sampler has a HUGE POTENTIAL!

From the very first day I sampled my voice, my kids' singing, my synths, ambiental noises and anything you can think of!

Diving into the samples with the Waveform Viewer, using the Touch Stripe or the Texturer’s buttons, to create new interesting sounds and modulate them with the LFO, to obtain either an industrial, harsh sounds or a sound with vintage lo-fi vibe.

Here’s a sample from my Sequential PRO 3, using it to create a Berlin School sequence on my own style with a vintage vibe, and playing over it - by using the SOLO function - a plucky/organ lead, both the sequence and the lead using the same sample.

I’m passing through the sampling MACHINES and the Playback Modes and tweaking some functions.

I added some delay and reverb, and during the playing (made in post processing) I’m bypassing them for a raw sound."

More to come, next days!
