Step inside the world of analog synthesis as we sit down with legendary electronic musician and sound designer Thomas Dolby, exploring the power and personality of Moog instruments.
A gorgeous Minimoog Voyager XL synthesizer is the grand prize for the Bob Moog Foundation's 2026 winter raffle which ends February 23. It bears Thomas Dolby's signature near the Minimoog 40th Anniversary name plate, a value of $7,500.
Help us carry Bob's legacy forward to inspire future generations through the intersection of science, music, history, and innovation."

"LA-based electronic music composer/artist Trovarsi takes us on a tour of Trivium, a new module developed in collaboration with Weston Precision Audio, at Buchla & Friends 2026. Trivium combines a multi-state filter, VCAs, and two envelopes in one compact unit. The idea is combine these functions into a smaller space, thus freeing up space in a live modular setup for other modules unique to the artists' creative needs.
"In this video Theo takes us through the next instalment in our FREE plugin range called Vaults - Beaker. Can a big old bit of glass from a homewares shop really make a beautiful sounding instrument. It can if it's recorded at Gorbals Sound in Glasgow and performed by our founder Christian Henson. A testament to what sampling enables us and you to do, make beautiful sounds and music with nothing more than a bit of imagination and care."
Press release follows:
The Crow Hill Company creates …GLASS BEAKER as latest …VAULTS virtual instrument, free for all to download and make music with no formal training
EDINBURGH, UK: The Crow Hill Company is proud to announce availability of VAULTS - GLASS BEAKER as the latest downloadable drop in its free virtual instrument collection, created from thecnotion that music need not necessarily begin with formal training, specialist instruments, or expensive tools but instead it comes from working directly with sound — specifically, placing a microphone in front of a simple object and exploring what happens through touch, movement, and experimentation, the resulting tone of which feels familiar but resists easy identification, sitting somewhere between a glockenspiel and a celeste without being either — as of February 2…
"All the sounds in this video are generated from my 2 modules that I designed around Pico 2 (RP2350) : Drone and DS1, they are visible on the front row.
Drone is the main voice here, a Drone with 4 voices with a few algorithms to choose from. DS1 is a drums module that can do many drums but only one at a time.
The RP2350 is capable of audio synthesis while reading inputs, and controlling outputs such as LEDs and more. It is much less powerful than the Teensy 4 and cannot run very complex sketches but here it shows how capable it is.
All of my designs are open source, these modules are based on the v2 of my Motherboard, I still need to update the repos but you can find everything here: https://github.com/ghostintranslation

"In this video, I perform a dawless techno groovebox jam using a powerful Novation Circuit combo setup. This track is built entirely on hardware, delivering an energetic and hypnotic techno sound.
The jam features two grooveboxes working together:
🎛 Novation Circuit Tracks – rhythm and melodic elements
🎛 Novation Circuit Rhythm – rhythm, melodic parts, and custom samples
Both Circuit grooveboxes perfectly complement each other, blending digital sequencing, drums, and melodies into a tight live performance. Everything is sequenced dawless on the Circuits, creating a hands-on techno workflow with a raw, live feel. Final mastering is done in Ableton Live to polish the sound."
