Welcome to the Banan-a-Synth Prelaunch

video upload by MicroKits

"Link back to the Prelaunch Page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/..."

"Yes, it's a banana shaped synthesizer. It's also a synthesizer that turns bananas and other conductive objects into musical keys you can play. This is both a pocket sized sound machine and a musical science lab that lets you use electricity to play notes and control effects. Whether you're a STEM student or pro musician, there's so much to explore with the Banan-a-Synth.

Custom Sound Engine Packed with Sounds: 12 different instrument sounds, 8 built in sound effects. It's also 4 note polyphonic, so you can play a chord!

Play Conductive Objects: Use the included alligator clips to turn all sorts of conductive objects into keys you can play.

Learn Music and Physics: An intro to both the physics of conductivity and the art of applying filters and effects to synthesizer sounds.

Control Effects with Touch: An analog conductivity sensor to control effects. The harder you press the sensor, the stronger the sound effect.

Take It Anywhere: Super portable, with built in speaker and 2xAA Batteries. Also has a headphone jack and can be powered by a USB-C cable, not included.

No Screen, No Computer: Does not require connection to a computer or anything with a screen. Focus on exploring music without distraction.

No Knobs, No Problem: Change tuning, volume, and sound mode by simultaneously touching a setting touchpad and one of the keyboard keys.

Metronome: Select your beats per minute and rhythm structure.

It's a Banana: Tell your friends you can play the banana."

LoFi Future - Fragmenter HDMI glitch FX processor

video upload by LoFiFuture

"Available to order here: https://www.lofifuture.shop/product/f...

Song: LoFi Future - Hydrazine https://lofifuture.bandcamp.com/album...

The Fragmenter is a HDMI based circuit bent video FX processor / glitch colorizer.

The unit features 40 circuit bends on 16 potentiometers and 4 arcade buttons. The 4 arcade buttons each have a corresponding latching toggle switch and a knob to fade between two different circuit bents per button. The 16 potentiometers all fade between two FX and are off in the 12 o'clock position.

This thing is great at adding gritty digital texture to video. Feed it low resolution video sources and it goes wild picking up mpeg artefacts and making them stand out.

The setup for this unit is incredibly simple with a HDMI input and output it is fit for todays world of live and studio video without the need for any finicky adapters. There is also a VGA input that is great for connecting directly to one of my analog VGA glitch processors.

The unit is setup to output a 60fps 1080p signal and will take in virtually any resolution input signal and scale it up to 1080p.

When all FX are set to off it passes a completely unaffected, pixel perfect image."

Bloop Groop Weekender Set for Sunday, Mar 22

You can find full details on the upcoming event this weekend at https://www.bloopgroop.com/...

"Bloop Groop, Dublin's hardware-synth hub famous for its low-pressure “Hang, Jam, Play” sessions, announces its debut 3-day Weekender from Friday 20 to Monday 23 March 2026, with live electronic shows, low-stakes sets, maker demos, talks and hands-on DIY.

Since late 2024, Bloop Groop - founded by Caroline Swords and Gary Byrne - has quietly grown into a regular fixture of Dublin’s electronic music calendar, hosting informal meets where newcomers and old pros share short, loud hardware sets to a friendly crowd. The project now counts a core membership (and surprisingly civilized WhatsApp community) in the hundreds, with over 150 live performances hosted across jams, meets and gigs in Dublin City spaces like The Digital Hub and Trinity College Dublin. The gang shares knowledge, support, and collaborates on music. And, of course, buys and sells each other gear!"

Reliq Instruments Workshop @SchneidersLaden – Hybrid Audio, CV, MIDI & DAW Workflows

video upload by SchneidersLaden

"In this workshop at SchneidersLaden, the team from Reliq Instruments presents Reliq, an open hub for audio, CV, MIDI, and DAW integration. Sequencing, mixing, modulation, and routing merge into a performative workflow where signal flow itself becomes a creative element. The session explores the philosophy behind the instrument and demonstrates how it can serve as the centerpiece of complex studio and live setups."
