Building a Serge BESTIA III panel with Serge Eurorack

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"I am aware my Serge series is a bit of a niche in eurorack, but I feel it shouldn't be. They may seem complicated, or maybe too simple with the minimal grid panels and the lack of leds. Maybe even eh.. underwhelming compared to the competition. Also, many Serge videos focus on the raw voltage paths, so many of them just scream, tick and growl. This video is no exception. However, if you truly want to know what modular synthesis is about to enjoy absolute voltage freedom (a challenge by itself) a Serge system can teach you a LOT about the gear you already have - even when you never get to own single Serge module. As always, I am not trying to sell you anything, I am not an influencer and I no longer care (too much) about the latest hype modules anymore unless it blows me away. This is now an educational channel. It always was. And it's my duty - and privilege - to try and show you why Serge changed the way I patch. If you don't know what you're missing, you won't miss it. And if none of this appeals to you, that's also a valuable 'lession'. Your personal experience is all that matters - and the music you love most.
I am still a beginner, with Serge you may always know nothing between your previous and next patch. But if you're looking for magic, there's a lot of magic hiding behind those modest panels."

spectral pressure chamber - a thermo-dynamic simulation as a multi band compressor - au/vst for mac

video upload by copenhagennoiselab

"This is the first demo of the Spectral Pressure Chamber - a multi band compressor, that uses a thermo dynamic simulation as the analysis layer. A spectral analysis of the incoming audio splits it into energy for three chambers. The energy leaks. The chambers get over saturized with pressure. The stiffness of the walls decreases. The entropy increases.

While being able to work like a regular multiband compressor, it doesn't always act in the same controlled way. Sometimes it is sweet, sometimes it is full of artifacts. And it is insanely relaxing to watch the simulation visualized in the plugin in realtime.

It will be available at unusable.ai sometime in mid-april."

NE555 Counterless sequencer - 3: Radio buttons, transpose function, final assembly, and a demo video

video upload by organfairy

"The demo is in 3 parts: Manual mode 4:15, Sync mode 9:46, and external mode 14:07

'Radio buttons' is an expression used for a row of buttons where a button stays down when you press it. You press another button and the first one will pop up again while the other button stays down.
It is possible to make such a device with simple pushbutttons and a few logic gates instead of the complicated (and expensive) mechanical locking switches. This is what I explore in the beginning of this video - and it is actually exploring since I haven't used the concept before so I didn't know if it would actually work. I do know that the old Moog Taurus bass synthesizer used a similar idea for its preset buttons.

The music is also a kind of exploration project since I decided for the first time to (over)use the portamento function on my Elka X-30 organ in an arrangement. Apart from the organ I also use my Roland JV-35 for some of the parts"

Human voice or synth? | Birth of a Song #02

video upload by Deep Forest

"Today, I’m using the Haken Continuum to gently shape a voice that seems to come from nowhere…inspired by an eastern-flavored piano melody. Then I enhance it with harmonies played on the C15.Everything begins to merge, to breathe together.Something is happening…Is the magic starting to appear?"

Foltek Mescaline and POM 400 Part 2: Will it Techno?

video upload by Infin-D

"The patch here is basically the same as the last video, but I increased the tempo on the Mescaline trigger sequencer, tightened up the envelopes on the POM 400, and routed some modulation from the POM sample & hold to the Mescaline percussion voices. The sawtooth oscillator on the POM once again provides a dissonant, chirpy counterpoint.

All audio from the Mescaline is routed through the POM, gets some compression and reverb from the Zoom MS70 cdr+, and delay from the Korg NTS-1.

Recorded live on the Zoom L6, audio normalized in Audacity."

Foltek Mescaline and POM 400: Melodic Modular Magic

video upload by Infin-D

"The Folktek Mescaline lives up to its name, it reliably takes me to magical, trippy places. It's biggest weakness is the 'Channel' module, which generates rich polyphonic tones, but lacks envelope control, so basically it's a melodic drone. Enter the Teenage Engineering POM 400, with its dual envelope generators and VCA's. Now I can route the Mescaline voices through it, and triggered by its sequencer clock I can get nice snappy, plucky melodies- modular magic.

The Mescaline melodies and percussion are accompanied by the POM saw wave oscillator, outgoing audio gets some compression and reverb from the Zoom MS70 cdr+, and delay from the Korg NTS-1.

Recorded live on the Zoom L6, audio normalized in Audacity.

🎛️ Exploring the Synth Petting Zoo | Toronto 2026 🎶

video upload by Vintage Sounds and Synthesizers Canada

"I checked out the Synth Petting Zoo at the Wavelength Music Festival + Conference 2026 in Toronto — and it was such a unique experience!

Held at InterAccess from March 19–21, this FREE, all-ages interactive exhibit lets you get hands-on with a wide range of synthesizers and electronic instruments. Whether you're a total beginner or a synth nerd, you can actually play the gear, experiment with sounds, and learn from on-site experts. ()

This event is part of the larger Wavelength Music Festival + Conference, a celebration of independent music, creativity, and community featuring live performances, panels, and immersive art experiences across the city. ()

In this video, I take you inside the Synth Petting Zoo, show off some of the gear, and capture the vibe of this super cool interactive space."

New Blaknblu MK2 Modules — Oscillators, Filters, and VCA's!

video upload by The Unperson

"Blaknblu have made some of my favourite Eurorack modules in recent years, especially the Oscar Tria oscillator and the Foxtrot Duo filter, so I was very happy to hear they’d updated the range with these MK2 versions.

The MK2 modules feature a completely new layout, more modulation throughout, and a number of new features that expand on the original designs.

In this video I give a quick overview of each module, Oscar Tria, Foxtrot Duo, Oscar DSF, and Alpha Duo, before putting them together in a series of patches.

Between the oscillators, filter, and VCA, this set of modules covers a full voice for modular synthesis, and with them all being stereo, they play very nicely together and the jams came very easy."

Lambda PolyPulse Midi Control Examples

video upload by Noel Sharp

"Controlling external synthesizers with the Lambda Synthetics PolyPulse x-y pads is much more versatile than you might expect. You can actually send one pad to up to 12 different midi channels and/or 12 completely different parameters, transforming external synth sounds the same way you can change internal synth sounds.

You can also send out notes from the internal sequencer or receive notes from an external sequencer. You can do both and control x-y parameters at the same time! You can setup the PolyPulse as the center of a live set or live jam session and have numerous effects and synthesizers radically transform at the same time."

Darkwave Futurepop Trance | Peak + Minilogue XD + Micromonsta 2 + Blofeld | Dawless Live Jam 19

video upload by STEHRÆON

"Live jam performed on my full hardware setup.

This one moves between darkwave futurepop, trance and a slight EBM edge, with a melancholic atmosphere and a strong forward pulse.

I was inspired by artists like VNV Nation, Covenant, Angels & Agony, Apoptygma Berzerk and Assemblage 23.

The Novation Peak really shines in this jam, carrying much of the emotional depth, harmonic movement and overall character of the track.

Rig: Novation Peak, Korg Minilogue XD, Micromonsta 2, Waldorf Blofeld, Roland TR-6S, Novation Circuit Tracks (sequencing only), recorded raw to Tascam Model 12.

Full uncut take.

All performed live, no DAW, no edits."
