"Roland JX-3P w/ PG-200 Programmer. Fully tested in great working condition, includes connecting programmer cable as shown. Classic mid-80s Roland sounds, great for lush pads, basses, and that unmistakable vintage character. The PG-200 really unlocks the synth and makes it far more immediate and playable! Programmer has a few mis-matched knobs as shown, very charming."

Additional SYNTH CITY Listings

"The Polysix is a 6 voice analog polysynth with VCOs as opposed to the somewhat more familiar DCOs in similar keyboards of the time. This synth has a soft and warm sound likely due to those VCOs. There are also 32 preset slots available, ensemble and chorus effects and an arpeggiator.

This is a great sounding analog poly that gives more popular synths like the Roland Juno a run for its money.

Cosmetically, the wood sides are very worn, plenty of blemsihes throughout. Please see detailed photos."

DnB on a 1996 Quasimidi Raven Max Synth (Constellations by Fred V & Grafix)

video upload by Nismology5

"What an underrated beast of a synth. Everything you hear is made on an old German Groove synth built in 1996, using only the built-in 'Motivator' sequencer and the internal ROM sounds. No external FX.

Used a few tricks to get this to work. Recorded it in double-time at 87 BPM on a 32nd note grid, so that I could get round the 8 bar loop limit, and effectively record 16 bar loops. I also doubled the melody line on two tracks, panned L/R and detuned apart by 10 cents so get a wide, thick lead sound.

Apologies for the slightly rough sound quality, I just recorded with my phone between the headphones!"

Buchla TTA 296T | Episode 17 | Jailbroken

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"I've been preparing to sell my 296T this week, because it's too big, I rarely use it and I do not like the nasal and harsh resonant character too much. Sure it's personal, because the 296T is a faithful recreation of the original classic model (and it also sounds like the more modern LED version 296e). I've explored the module in many videos, but best results were achieved when I patched my Mellotron in it (see 207T video in playlist).

I've been browsing youtube for patch examples, to do a final check on true Buchla versions, because maybe I overlooked something. I did not, it is what it is and I can either accept it, or sell it. In either case I need to stop whining about it. But then I found a cool video from the Sonny Downs Quartet channel, where a simple dual VCO in a 'chord' setting was spectrally transferred into beautiful textures. And then I realized the 296T is eurorack and every I/O can be used. Anyway, I decided to keep the 296T after all, and this video may help to explain why."

Unboxing a $5,000 Synth… It BLEW Him Away 🤯

video upload by Scott's Synth Stuff

"Unboxing the Groove Synthesis 3rd Wave — a powerhouse wavetable synthesizer inspired by the legendary PPG Wave. In this first-look video, I plug it in fresh out of the box and explore its stunning sound engine, analog filters, modulation capabilities, and factory presets.

From classic digital textures to rich analog warmth, this synth delivers serious sonic depth. Expect real-time sound exploration, surprises, and honest first impressions as I dive in without even opening the manual."
