Intellijel Quadra And Expander Tutorial
intellijel
Published on Aug 3, 2017
"The Intellijel Quadra and Expander modules comprise four parallel function generators (more commonly referred to as 'Envelope Generators'. The Quadra function generators have three modes, AD (Attack, Decay), ASR (Attack, Sustain, Release) and Cycle (perpetually repeating AR envelope or unipolar LFO). Each function can be configured to have a linear or exponential curve and they feature a wide time base control from 0.5ms, to over 30 seconds. The Expander enhances the core functionality by allowing attenuated voltage control over Attack and Decay for each function generator, a Quadrature mode, and an analog OR mixer for each function generator pair.
This video will cover both the Quadra and its optional Expander module.
Quadra Features:
Four function generators with Attack and Decay times ranging from from 0.5 milliseconds to over 30 seconds.
Three modes: AD (attack, decay), ASR (attack, sustain, release), Cycle (AD envelope loops)
Exponential and Linear envelope curves
Additional Expander Features
Four End of Cycle pulse outputs corresponding to the four function generators.
Voltage control of attack and decay (with attenuators) of all four envelopes
Two analog OR (Also known as Peak Circuit) logic outputs that are normalled to the two pairs of envelopes with attenuators.
Special Quadrature modes"

"We were curious to find out what would happen if we had Plonk, Shapeshifter, and Rainmaker running in their random modes together. Noise Tools is even providing a random clock source too! Here's the result..."
Unfiltered Audio Spec Ops

"Exploring the subtler side of Spec Ops, the 'Ultimate Spectral Processor' on its way from Unfiltered Audio.
This preset I've called 'My God it's full of Stars'
Although highly capable of mangling audio beyond recognition I've used it here to add a pitch-shift up one octave using Stretch, subtle pitch wobble using Slide controlled by an LFO, higher frequency artifacts and texture and generally lots of movement with the LFOs modulating many parameters and also their own - and others - frequency. You can see the dry/wet knob moving and hear the effected and unaffected pad I made in Absynth. A little mellow Vintageverb rounds out the effect.
The possibilities with this effect are huge!

RT-1701 Multi FX Modulation FXs
Jörg Schaaf
Published on Aug 3, 2017
"The EFFEXX module sports modulation FXs like Phasing, Chorus and Flanging. In this example you can listen to the interpolation through 4 different snapshots.
Snapshot 1: Dry Signal
Snapshot 2: Delay & Phasing & Reverb
Snapshot 3: Delay & Chorus & Reverb
Snapshot 4: Delay & Flanging & Reverb
In the beginning the interpolation is controlled by the internal LFO. Later I show the manual control with the big knob.
The music pattern is a little Spectralis pattern with samples from the Sample Library 2.
I hope, you enjoy this little audio demo!"

Prophet 12 Filter and Glide Effects
Sacred Synthesis
Published on Aug 3, 2017
"This very short piece demonstrates two patches. The first imitates a stereo filter by using two layers stacked, panned, and with slightly different cut off frequency settings. It uses the low pass and high pass filters, as well as resonance. This is how you make an expensive synthesizer sound like a frog in a pond. Nothing but the most important sound design techniques here.
In the second patch, the filter is thrown wide open, the resonance is eliminated, and polyphonic glide is added for dramatic effect on both ends of the keyboard.
In the entire demonstration, only six voices are used. Both patches use four oscillators of pulse width modulation. All music, including the bass, was played on the Prophet 12 Keyboard. No pedalboard was used.
Instrumentation:
DSI Prophet 12 Keyboard
Effects:
