Drop-In Studio Tour: Bristol Old City Studio
video upload by sonicstate
Some Polymoog Synthesizer playing towards the end in this one.
"It's been a while since we did a 'drop-in' video, but we bumped into our EMOM sound engineer Silas Blackburn who mentioned he'd moved to a new studio space in nearby Bristol - so we dropped by to the Bristol Old City Studio to check it out.
And found a beautiful old PolyMoog too, as well as a bunch of other delicious gear.
Hope you enjoy the tour.

Vermona drumDING Workshop at SchneidersLaden
video upload by SchneidersLaden
"On March 26th we had Vermona in the showroom for a deep dive into one of the standout instruments of SUPERBOOTH25: drumDING.
Blending analog drum synthesis with sampling and sequencing, drumDING opens up a fluid, hands-on workflow where sounds can be created, captured, and reshaped on the fly. With features like parameter locks, polymetrics and performative controls, it’s built for spontaneous groove building and evolving rhythmic structures.
In this workshop, Thomas walks you through the concept, demonstrates the workflow, and shows how quickly ideas can turn into fully formed patterns."
You can find additional posts featuring the drumDING here.

HWJ WC - No FX
video upload by SynthAddict
"OP-Z
I tried to find perc samples that had no obvious FX, but no additional FX were added to any samples or synths in this performance.
Pretty dry, but that was the challenge. :-)
As it was a simple challenge, I finally had time to make something again after being too busy for my usual HWJ output for many weeks."

In this video, I unbox the POkZ-KOII case for the pocket operator, inspired by the iconic EP-133 KOII. Designed and manufactured by Kumodot in Canada (a creative venture by Marcelo Souza), every case is continuously refined through real customer feedback (currently in the 20th iteration) to deliver a compact, durable, and functional way to protect your Pocket Operator without sacrificing the original feel.
I just used for a couple of days, and I have to say that it is an amazing case. Well built, with a nice feeling, buttons with a transparent part to disperse the LED lights. Everything packed in a gorgeous design.

inMusic Donates Synthesizer Prototypes and Documentation to the Bob Moog Foundation
via The Bob Moog Foundation
Extensive Collection of Schematics, Prototypes, and More Donated to the Bob Moog Foundation Archives

The Bob Moog Foundation is excited to announce an extraordinary donation from inMusic Brands, the parent company of Moog Music. This collection of an astounding 4,489 items includes Bob Moog’s office effects from his final years at Moog Music, over 500 schematics and 700 letters spanning the 1970s through the early 2000s, and vintage synthesizers and prototype models, including a Fairlight CMI synthesizer and Minimoog Voyager bench-model prototype!
Vintage product catalogs from dozens of industry competitors and collaborators, drafted speeches and articles, letters of both a business and personal nature, and plenty of other surprises fill drawer after drawer of Bob's file cabinets. In one file folder, there might be something as everyday as a tax form or an employee review, and in the next, a poignant, handwritten letter from Wendy Carlos or Lydia Kavina! It took almost two years and many volunteers to assist the Bob Moog Foundation in accessioning these historical materials into the Bob Moog Foundation Archives.
Moogerfooger prototypes, a Multiple Resonant Filter (MuRF) test fixture, and a rare Moog Phone Controller model PC-30 are just a few more of the fascinating artifacts included, which altogether shine a fascinating light on some of Moog Music's legacy of engineering and innovation. There are far too many items in this collection to fully share here, but we created a blog post with a few more details and images. And of course, we hope to have a few of these rarities on display in the Moogseum!
Contributions like this, along with the ongoing support of our Members and other Donation sources, empower us to maintain our continually growing collection of over 15,000 historical pieces. Please consider making a donation today so that we can give this world-class archive the attention it deserves.
Vintage 1970 EMS Synthi Hi Fli *Serial Number 1* Museum Grade Guitar Synth

"This is 'The Holy Grail of Holy Grails' and I am so excited to offer this for sale on behalf of the second owner from new. This is an EMS Synthi Hi Fli, but the crazy thing about this is it's serial No. 1. This is THE first production Hi Fli ever built, produced immediately after the 10 prototype units, this is the very first production example to leave EMS. Even more remarkable, prototypes #9 and #10 remain in the hands of David Gilmour, placing this instrument directly in the lineage of those legendary examples. It was purchased many years ago from its original owner, this extraordinary survivor remains astonishingly complete, retaining its original pedals, manuals, factory schematic, original demo cassette, and accompanying original components—a level of completeness that is almost never seen. It's just undergone an incredible service by a leading UK tech, so it's quite literally ready to go! Museum-worthy. Investment-grade. Virtually impossible to replicate. This is one of them. What a privilege to offer it for sale. Please see the pictures below as they form part of my description. Grab a rarity!"

"LYRA-8 is based on eight generators, which will be referred to as voices. Their design is not like a traditional subtractive synthesis VCO. Instead of having a linear or logarithmic dependency on control voltage, they resemble the tone generators in old electric organs. Hence the use of the term 'voices' instead of 'VCOs'. Lyra uses non-linearity a lot, and the voices are constructed in such a way that allows for non-linearity to express itself."
