"Welcome to the soundset for the semi-modular synth Moog Grandmother.
«Evolution» is a collection of 20 advanced patches: 10 Generative Sequences and 10 Complex Arpeggios. The bank covers a wide range of tones: warm, deep, bright, metallic, mallet, soft, expressive, dreamy, dark, evolving, detuned, inharmonic, noisy, distorted and others.

Generative-style patches have complex modulations and movement, featuring both long and short steps, dark and bright tones, as well as tempo variation, unexpected and unpredictable splashes of sound… Generative timbres may be a good addition to (or a lead part of) ambient or techno tracks, jams and performances. You may also record fragments into your DAW or sampler, slice it to one-shots or make loops - you’ll get a unique material for further processing.

The soundset is presented in the form of PDF-Document. Each page contains notes that explain how the patch works, what parameters are worth tweaking during playback, and how to develop the timbre during a performance. If you make all the settings consciously and try the things mentioned in the notes, you will learn a lot about the synth and discover its true depth.

Each patch has an audio example, it helps to understand how a patch is supposed to sound.
To recreate these patches you need up to 9 patch cords.
You should also install firmware v1.1.3 or higher to have access to all settings used in this soundset.

The sequences don't include information about notes. You should record your own sequences from scratch.
I've added third-party delays and reverbs to the demos.

Moog Sub37/Subsequent 37: Duo Presets: Pads, Drones, Chords

"'Dark Duos' is a collection of 64 Patches for Moog Subsequent 37 and Sub 37. The bank of presets is dedicated to dark, noisy, lo-fi, vintage/retro pads, drones, and textures. All presets are in DUO mode, providing an opportunity to create the illusion of a chord.

The bank comprises 44 pads/drones and 20 rhythmical pads. The rhythmical pads introduce groove with LFOs that are synchronized to the tempo.

The soundset is suitable for many genres of electronic music: Techno, Industrial, House, Acid, Hardcore, IDM, Drum'n'Bass, Breaks, Breakbeat, Electro, Ambient (including Dark, Noise, Drone), Dubstep, EDM, and others.

ModWheel is set in all patches, it adds movement or changes the tone.
Velocity controls volume and brightness.

Patches' volume levels are set close to each other, you won't get sudden volume spikes or drops while switching the timbres.

The presets should be uploaded via official Moog Editor/Librarian. You should put the folder with the presets to:
Mac - /Users/your username/Library/Application Support/Moog Music Inc.
Windows - C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\Moog Music Inc\Sub 37\Presets Library\Moog Music

Make sure you are using the latest firmware version.

Make Noise Strega Patches: Texture, Noise, Drone, Lead. Demo

"«Noise & Texture» is a collection of 50 patches for a semi-modular synthesizer, Make Noise Strega.
Although Strega is often seen as part of the Make Noise trio (0-Coast + 0-Ctrl + Strega), it remains an intriguing standalone synth. My goal was to explore its full potential independently, without connecting other Make Noise devices. Strega is a truly unique instrument, offering inspiration for crafting the unusual and experimental timbres.

This collection includes lo-fi textures, drones, leads, noises, FXs, and rhythmical patches. They can take center part in a track or serve as a supporting element, creating an atmospheric background.

These presets are suitable for various genres of electronic music where experimental sound design plays a crucial role, including: Ambient, Techno, Minimal, Deep, Electronica, Drone, Industrial, Dubstep, Hardcore, Garage, Cinematic, and others.

Each page contains notes that explain how the patch works, what parameters are worth tweaking during playback, and how to develop the timbre during a performance. If you make all the settings consciously and try the things mentioned in the notes, you will learn a lot about the synth and discover its true depth.
To recreate these patches, you need up to 5 patch cords.

There are audio examples of all patches inside the folder with the soundset.

In most cases, I utilize the 1V/OCT input (indicated by a black cable in the images) to send note information to Strega. There are several popular methods to achieve this:
- Using a MIDI keyboard or controller with CV output, such as the Arturia Keystep or Beatstep.
- Employing the Make Noise 0-CTRL.
- Utilizing software like Ableton (or another DAW with similar capabilities) to send CV signals via an audio interface.

You have the flexibility to choose any of these methods and play notes manually with a keyboard or use their internal arpeggiators and sequencers. In some of my audio examples, I used the internal arpeggiator of the Keystep.

If you don't have any of these devices or prefer not to use them, you can still effectively utilize the patches. In this scenario, you'll be working with a single note or pitch, which you can set using the TONIC parameter.

Don’t forget to use Touch Plates for immediate modulations and expression.

"'Arps Collection' is a soundset of 50 presets for Behringer Pro-800.
The patches cover a variety of Arp tones: mild and aggressive, deep and bright, soft and punchy, clean and noisy, modern and vintage.

Modwheel adds vibrato. You may use the arps with internal or external MIDI/USB clock. Play with division and swing parameters to change the arps' behavior.

Here is some technical information:

To load presets onto the device, please use the Synthtribe app, which is available on the official Behringer website.

The bank consists of 50 presets (00-49 slots are active, 50-99 are empty/init). You have the option to upload them all at once as a bank or load each preset individually, one by one.
Before loading new presets, I recommend backing up any slots on your synth that you are currently using.

Individual uploading is recommended if you already have presets stored in different banks (A, B, C, D). Uploading the entire bank will overwrite all existing presets in the selected bank. On the other hand, uploading presets individually offers more flexibility. You can save new presets without erasing the previous ones, and you can arrange them to suit your preferences.

"Techno Generator is a collection of 50 patches for the analog semi-modular synthesizer Behringer Edge: 15 Basses, 15 Leads, 15 Percussion and 5 Generative-FX patches.
The soundset also includes 24/41000 WAV samples, accompanied by BPM and scale information. You can use them as they are, or you're free to resample, edit, and apply effects. These samples offer a versatile material for your experimentation.

Though the title includes «Techno», the patches may be used in a wide variety of genres. Techno is just the first thing comes in my mind when I tweak and listen to EDGE. Analog phatness, experimental sounds, huge basses, vivid leads, freaky sequences, electronic drums, generative-fx patches work nicely not only in techno, they will decorate any track where a decent sound design is welcome.

The soundset is presented in PDF format. I used an external USB clock from Ableton Live. When external clock is used, TEMPO knob has no effect, so I left its value on some default position. Only tempo division (SCALE) changes the playback. If you use EDGE as a master clock device, change TEMPO to your taste.

Generative patches (45-50) are made with the internal clock.
These patches create highly experimental and non-repetitive sounds with a portion of randomness. Their 'torn' movement prevents synchronization with external tracks. However, rather than a disadvantage, this glitchy and unpredictable nature can enhance any music where sound design is a key element. Experiment with them using reverb or delay.
Please note that these patches are designed for internal clock use only and may not function correctly when connected to an external clock via the ADV/CLOCK input.

You'll now listen to demo tracks featuring these presets. I've added other samples like drums, chords, and pads to create a complete musical context. The EDGE sequences can be quite complex, producing various timbres at once, like bass and percussion. To help you distinguish, I've marked the EDGE and ADDITIONAL SOUNDS with different colors.
These ADDITIONAL SOUNDS are not included in the soundset."

Arturia Efx Motions plugin: presets walkthrough. No talking

"Arturia has just released a new multi-effect plugin: Efx Motions. It consists of several blocks (filter, distortion, noise, beat repeat, effects) and modulation sources (motion envelopes, sequencers), and together they can change the sound dramatically. I like groove/sync/seq features the most: a pad can be easily transformed into rhythmical chords.

I passed my Minifreak presets, pads and arps, through the plugin and gave them a new life.

"'House Planet' is a collection of 64 patterns for Behringer TD-3 and TD-3-MO (Modded Out). It's suitable for House and its sub-genres/styles: Acid, Deep, Tech, Progressive, Funky, Electro, and others.
The sequences are organized in the following way. Each pattern inside the group has 2 variations: A and B.

A has fewer notes and articulations, it's good to start with it, while B is a much more energetic and expressive variant of A. This organization gives an opportunity to develop your bass line from "soft" to "expressive" (or vice versa) just in one click. And, of course, you may do any changes in sequences while performing or jamming.

The sequences are done in C Major/Minor scale, but of course, you may transpose them to any note.

"Welcome to the soundset for a semi-modular system Moog Sound Studio: DFAM + Mother-32.
'DM Generative' is a collection of 25 patches. This genre of sound design is very popular inside modular culture, and Moog Sound Studio suggests a good set of features to enter this club.
Controlled chaos and randomness, probability, non-repetitiveness, tempo break, pattern uniqueness, short and long sounds alternation, unexpected changes, silence and density, harmonic and fx-like tones, freaky splashes during a sequence - all these things are included in the soundset.

That was a hard work. Each patch took me up to 2 hours. I tried to find interesting combinations of settings and patching. Hope you will enjoy the results.

The main point of the soundset is the high level of interconnection. In this patchbook, the timbres of the synths are soldered and can’t exist separately:
🔸 they modulate each other with LFO and Envelopes
🔸 a sequence from one synth change parameters on the other one
🔸 gates and triggers interact to break predictable patterns
🔸 audio signals from VCOs may be used as modulation sources to create harmonies/intervals or - crazy experimental inharmonic tones
🔸 or they may be used just as audio sources sent to the other synth for processing with its different filter and envelope, giving them a 'second life’.

This bank of presets has been highly requested by customers who enjoyed my 'Analog Classics' soundset for the Grandmother. Matriarch "Analog Classics" is based on the Grandmother soundset, but with some differences. I took Grandmother patches and modified them with the unique Matriarch features. Also, I removed chords/drones (this type of presets can be found in my Matriarch "Polychrome" soundset) and added some new arps, leads, and plucks.

"I'm having a great time exploring the possibilities of the Make Noise modular system, consisting of Strega, 0-Coast, and 0-Ctrl. While patching, I encountered some clicks, and instead of eliminating them, I embraced them and made them the focal point of my performance. Combined with other noises and effects, these clicks now resemble the sound of rain, creating a unique atmospheric quality. Additionally, I've discovered unexpected rhythmic elements that emerged in the midst of my jamming session. These rhythmic parts have opened up a new realm for experimentation and tweaking.

The soundset is universal, the leads are suitable for all genres of electronic music, including Techno, House, Trance, Lounge, Downtempo, Funk, Disco, Pop, Acid, Hardcore, IDM, Drum'n'Bass, Breaks, Breakbeat, Trap, Electro, Ambient, Dubstep, EDM, Synth-Pop and others.

ModWheel is set in all patches, it adds brightness or changes the tone.
Velocity controls volume and brightness.

Patches' volume levels are set close to each other, you won't get sudden volume spikes or drops while switching the timbres.

The presets are uploaded via official Moog Editor/Librarian.
They are stored in:
Mac - /Users/your username/Library/Application Support/Moog Music Inc.
Windows - C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\Moog Music Inc\Sub 37\Presets Library\Moog Music
