I can dig it, but I can't produce it. I take Agonizer's sound sculpting tools in an entirely different direction in this Let's Play!

"Shockwave Synthesizer for iOS by Kai Aras is a Modular Monophonic Synth and It sounds great! It uses a Phase Distortion Synthesis engine that gives it a very unique character. I would know because I’ve made a huge chuck of the factory sound presets, included with the synth! This synth is really powerful and it has a cross modulation section that gives it the ability to do FM, PM, AM and Ring Modulation synthesis.

Shockwave also features a Sequencer that can run in various different and interesting modes it’s more than just a 16 step sequencer. Btw the Reverb in this thing sounds incredibly lush and not metallic at all. But it does not end here. In this video I am going over everything inside Shockwave and I’m playing some of the sounds that I’ve made. So kick back and enjoy the show!"

Pure Acid is an Amazing Groovebox for iPad and iPhone and it packs a very intuitive Sequencer that has been tailored for ease of use, instant inspiration and all-nighter jams. This is without a doubt one of the most fun Music Apps I’ve had the privilege of working with during 2019. In this video I’m diving very deep into the Bassline Sequencer, because apart from the awesome FX section, the Sequencer really is a gem in this one. Seems like 303 day swung around and came right back again.

"Thump One is an easy to use music synthesiser plugin with a fun glitchy 'wavetable' engine and a bank of flexible multi-segment envelopes to shape the sound in any direction you desire. Perfect for powerful kick drums, huge club basses and soaring leads.

The synthesiser features two powerful engines that can be layered together for a variety of complex sounds and textures. The ‘Kick’ engine features a great sounding 'wavetable' oscillator, with a set of wavetables created from a selection of clean and processed analog kick drum sounds. The ‘Kick’ engine has a high quality saturation and filtering circuit plus an additional 'Buzz' circuit to add a buzzy ‘broken speaker cone’ effect. The second engine, ‘Layer’ uses an accurate model of the 'supersaw' oscillator found in the Roland JP8000 synthesiser, this oscillator has a selection of operating ‘modes' that configure the oscillator to play in intervals and adds various amounts of cross-modulation to create noisy, retro synth sounds, fuzzy glitches or just plain noise."

"Arturia recently published a MicroFreak synthesizer firmware update with a that includes a new Vocoder mode and I'm trying to find a good microphone to use with it. Now this new firmware update is is free and it works with the older original version of the MicroFreak, pretty sweet. Arturia also released a new white version of the MicroFreak that comes with a gooseneck microphone so new users are have their vocoder action covered. Us older MicroFreak owners though, we have to find another mic option for now and it turns out that the mic input is of a TRRS type, so we might already have what we need at home."

I've always loved Fingerlab's apps but this time they really surprised me, positively so.
