Published on Apr 24, 2020 sonicstate

"We first caught wind of Lab4Music a number of years ago back at MusikMesse, they were then showing off the first version of the Sipario MIDI Router. At NAMM this year we saw the Sipario Expanded which builds on the original Sipario with updated hardware which gives you more MIDI Inputs and Outputs, a built in pitch wheel and USB host functionality.

Christian was on hand to show off the new Sipario Expanded. It should be available in summer 2020 and will be priced at around the €450."

Published on Nov 4, 2019 Ask.Audio

Priced at 299 Euro.

"Here's a MIDI controller which looks different to almost every other one out there on the market, plus it has a joystick and some innovative features. What's not to like?"

MIDI Side
Manages MIDI pitch and control change thru USB port.

Analog Soul
Generates analog CV, LFO, PITCH, GATE, TRIGGER.

Programmable
Up to 10 presets programmable via web interface.

enJOY is a controller that combine analog CV world with digital MIDI world. The front panel is dominated by the joystick lever, while the rear panel contains three input jacks (two for expression type pedals, one for sustain type pedals), three output stereo jacks (6 analog cv) and one usb type B socket.

Digital Side: Enjoy is a USB class compliant MIDI device. You can use it with your USB-MIDI host like Sipario or a PC, without the need of any driver. Once programmed you can use it stand alone and generate MIDI pitch and control change (expression, volume, filter cutoff, etc.) by moving the joystick or pedals.

Analog Soul: four of six analog outputs can generate cv, gate, pitch and trigger, two outputs can also generate lfo. All CV's can be modulated by joystick, pedals or from MIDI messages like control changes coming from USB port.

Web: To program the device just connect by browser to www.lab4music.it on the program section and set the parameters. There are ten memory locations, selectable by the web application, with which switch to various the configurations. It is also possible, using the button, to scroll through the first three presets without using the browser.

> MIDI-CV: control change remapping according incoming CC form USB external device to Control Voltage outputs (-4.5V +4.5V).

> MIDI-CV: MIDI note messages conversion to PITCH, GATE and VELOCITY signals (0V +5V).

> MIDI-CV: MIDI System Real-Time messages conversion to TRIGGER signals (0V +5V).
