"First run with the #microcosm for glitching the drums coming from #drumcomputer. Background pad coming from the wonderful #isometra plug-in for decentsampler. The microcosm is controlled by a few LFO sending various midi cc values to control parameters like mix/activity/timing on the microcosm on top of live tweaking its knobs. Besides, random midi program changes switch between the different glitch presets on the microcosm."

DRONING WITH PO32 TONIC

"Took the challenge to "misuse" the #PO32 for creating some dark ambient drones. Prepared the sounds with #microtonic with its nice sound morphing feature to allow both subtle or heavy transformations of each sound (like distortion, noise mix, pitch). This morphing is mapped to the right dial on the PO and considering it can store 32 different sounds (on 4 shared tracks though) makes it a pretty multifaceted sound source. Added reverb with #velvetmachine to smooth out the attacks, other than that all Tonic."

Drones With Volca Drums???

"#jamuary2023 day 29: After taking the drone route yesterday with the Dreadbox Typhon, i thought i could try to push the #volcadrum into similar territory. This uses some external fx obviously, using mainly #velvetmachine reverb, but the source material is purely the Volca Drum. This technique is inspired by @oscillatorsink glorious drone jams and is even using his online patch editor for the Volca Drum to create the sounds."

MARBLE Colortracking (Musikraken & FRMS Granular Syntesizer)

"#jamuary2023 day 24: Another take on colortracking using #musikraken app. Here the position of the marble is converted into midi cc values which control sample offset and grain density parameter in #FRMS app. So basically x position scrubs through the waveform from left to right while y position determines the amount of grains from high (top) to low (bottom). You can see what the tracking is doing in the screenrecording of FRMS @ImaginandoPt . Having the unpredictability where the marble would stop and the uneven carvings of the underground makes this really surprising and playful. Definitely have to try it with more sonic material."

Syntakt Meets LightPadBlock (Pentagome Script)

"#Jamuary2023 day 23: #Syntakt meets #lightpadblock today. Loaded with the wonderful #pentagome script @ldmdesign5610 First going into an iPad to distribute the midi notes over multiple channels in a round robin fashion using #polythemus and adding velocity randomization using #mozaicapp, then passed to the Syntakt with some velocity sensitive modulation going on."

"#Jamuary2023 day 22: #Syntakt meets #fuguemachine and #ualofiaf today! Fuguemachine is sequencing Syntakt with every note on being randomly distributed over the first 8 channels on the Syntakt using #polythemus as a little helper. This is kind of a workaround to play chords on the Syntakt by playing multiple channels at the same time. Added delay with #k7d and routed through UA lo-fi-af it literally gets into lofi territory 😊 Added projectionmapped visuals on top!"

"Not gonna lie, the recent announcement for the #expressiveeosmose blew me away. The only thing that kept me away from preordering it was the realization that i have a Seaboard Block sleeping in my drawer 😉😅 As i felt sorry for it, i fired up #AnimoogZ and #Quantasynth for a quick messing around with some #mpe action. GAS kept away for the moment 😂

Nice thing about this audiovisual jam was to use the pressure data from the #seaboardblock to modulate the turbulence strength of the projected particle simulation #madewithnotch. So the harder i press on the Seaboard the more swirling around is happening."

"Jamming along my own heartbeat. Using an early alpha of an app by @floverse292 which uses the #applewatch to send a midi note with every heartbeat. I'm using this note further in various ways. First, it's used to cycle through 3 preprogrammed note sequences (with different step lengths and speed) in Rozeta Cells app, going into #purepiano. Secondly, the incoming midi pulses tap the master clock in AUM, resulting in ongoing timing variations including the delay effect which is synced to the master clock. And thirdly, the midi note is used to modulate the speed of the projected visuals to visualize the rhythmic flow of the heart pulses.

Added texture to all this with #UASilo, #UAlofiaf and #Rymdigare."

"Using my heartbeat to play the #ModelCycles. Using an early version of an app by Floverse which takes the heartbeat measured with an #applewatch to be emitted as a midi note. Here this data is going into an iPad where i’m processing the incoming midi to play various note scales and combinations using #mozaicapp. Next to the sound, the visuals are also getting this midi impulse which modulates the playback speed of the projected visuals."

"Here comes a little generative thing only using the heartbeat for generating and modulating audio and video. Using an early version of an app by @FloVerse which enables the heart rate measured with an #applewatch to be used as midi signal. In this case it’s emitting one midi note with every heartbeat. This note is then going into #chordjam @audiomodern to generate a random chord which is sequencing #aparillosynth. Adding a bit of texture with #uasilo and #uaneedlepoint. Besides the visuals are also getting this midi impulse which modulates the playback speed using #magicmusicvisuals."

Sunday Arpeggios With Model Cycles

"#ModelCycles in arpeggio mood today. Sequenced externally in this case using #StepPolyArpUnit on an iPad. First in a random fashion cycling through all six midi channels but then going into all channels at the same time to use all six voices together. Next to the live tweaking of the parameters, each track on the cycles is not only using internal LFO modulation but also velocity responsive modulation via the pad setup for each track, so it responds to the changing midi velocity of the incoming notes.

"Giving #beatsurfing2 a first spin with its midi modules. Here playing #fractalbits and #aparillosynth running in the background. I‘m still very new to #beatsurfing2 so my timing is totally messed up but i have the feeling that i will use the app more often, the beat creation feels so organic and flowy. Really fun! The visual part is using a video created with Glitch Studio on the iPad and then imported into MagicMusicVisuals on a laptop where the playback speed of the video is controlled by the Kick velocity transmitted from the iPad via bluetooth midi. @BEATSURFING"
