DRONING WITH PO32 TONIC

video upload by Perplex On

"Took the challenge to "misuse" the #PO32 for creating some dark ambient drones. Prepared the sounds with #microtonic with its nice sound morphing feature to allow both subtle or heavy transformations of each sound (like distortion, noise mix, pitch). This morphing is mapped to the right dial on the PO and considering it can store 32 different sounds (on 4 shared tracks though) makes it a pretty multifaceted sound source. Added reverb with #velvetmachine to smooth out the attacks, other than that all Tonic."

Pocket Operator with iPad ios app Chantlings - some tips

video upload by myVolts

"I've been training my own personal backing singers for the @teenageengineering Pocket Operator, the wonderful @iorama.studio #chantlings! ๐Ÿ‘✨.So, the setup is... Audio is coming from my Pocket Operator, it is then inputted to the mic in on the iPad (chantlings is made for singing into, but with a simple channel splitter you can play anything into it). ๐Ÿ˜‹✨.The output end of the iPad audio splitter is then sent to the little fender speaker on the desk. ๐Ÿ”Š๐Ÿ”‰✨.I even tried plugging a tula mic into the PO input, the audio came through nicely and the "chantlings" harmonized well with my attempts at singing. ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ‘✨.I initially tried chaining two POs and inputting them, but there seemed to be a good deal of signals, the chantlings did not respond all that well. I then plugged both POs into a mickxer and got a much better response..Note the whole setup was mobile powered with our ReVolt and Ripcord USB cables. ๐Ÿ˜✨.Also our delicious Candycord audio cables are on show. ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ˜✨

Chantlings Zoia Pocket operator tabletop USB powered jam

video upload by myVolts

"I've been training my own personal backing singers for my @teenageengineering Pocket Operator, the wonderful @iorama.studio #chantlings are doing fine! ๐Ÿ‘✨
.
So, the setup is... Audio is coming from my Pocket Operator, it's playing a tune, which is being output to the @empress_effects ZOIA pedal, a wonderful effects box if there ever was one. ๐Ÿ˜
.
The Zoia output is then inputted to the mic in on the iPad (chantlings is made for singing into, but with a simple channel splitter you can play anything into it). ๐Ÿ˜‹✨
.
The output end of the iPad audio splitter is then sent to the little fender speaker on the desk. ๐Ÿ”Š๐Ÿ”‰✨
.
This gives me an interesting output (the PO) and two potential ways to apply effects, either the native Pocket Operator effects (high pass filters/stutters/etc.), as you see me do in the video or I can use the Zoia. ๐Ÿ’ฃ๐Ÿ’ฏ
.
The Zoia is a great effect unit, but so much more... you can program it with "patches" or download and apply one made in it's thriving online community. You can "play" it too. ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ™
.
I even tried plugging a tula mic into the PO input, the audio came through nicely and the "chantlings" harmonized well with my attempts at singing. ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ‘✨
.
A Sunday morning well spent. ๐Ÿ˜Š
.
Note the whole setup was mobile powered with our ReVolt and Ripcord USB cables. ๐Ÿ˜✨
.
Also our delicious Candycord audio cables are on show. ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ˜✨"

Lemondrop - Portable Granular Synth That Could by 1010music

video upload by Axis of Wold

"Note: One can indeed change the scale on LD. Read the informative pinned comment by GerenM dot Net. Thanks for info! ๐Ÿ‘

Hi, this is Lemondrop from 1010music, what a revelation. At least that is my opinion, it is so portable it begs to be carried around, be taken with you on your next gig, next tour to the beach, it easily fits in your pocket, it only needs some USB power to turn on, and it invites you to be creative and, not at least, create some music wherever you are.
Lemondrop makes me happy as a creative person, and I'll bet it will make other people happy, too.

This is NOT a paid promotion in any way, it is just me being infatuated. It is a great feeling. Try it!

In this video I demonstrate most of its functions, I use together with Roland U-110, with Korg SQ-1, DigDugDIY Purple Rain, the lowfi sampler and compressor, with PO-14 Sub, and give you and overview of how it is modulated using its special modulation sequencer, that can contain as many as 31 steps and with varied step length. Also, I cover the filter section, there are two, the LFOs, also two, and the FX section, which sports reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, phaser, and a distortion.

I demonstrate its audio input and how it is used together with midi.

Enjoy!
Cheers!"

1988's Roland U-110 Meets Lemondrop in 2022 | Hearing is Believing | Choir of Dover

video upload by Axis of Wold

"Hi, this is a taster for what to come.
More Lemondrop, because it works so well with everything (I guess...).
It has a price tag, but when it makes music creation so fun and efficient and yields such good results, it is a keeper.

All well!"

GearFest UK 22: TX-6 Gets Direct to Disc Recording and more

video upload by sonicstate

"Rarely has a product been more divisive than the Teenage Engineering TX-6 portable mixer. Except perhaps the OP-1 Field :-).

We know that the TX-6 - 12 channel portable mixer and interfaces is expensive. It is also highly desirable which kind of goes along with the whole TE thing - they do make lovely objects, but they are expensive - I guess we'll just have to get over that and buy them or not.

But I do confess I have a bit of GAS for the TX-6 - and TE have already started to update the firmware - as with the original OP-1 which they got a higher amount of life out of a relatively small DSP. The new TX-6 and OP-1 Field have bags of extra processing capacity ready to fill up with features.

The new TX-6 Firmware adds:

usb mass storage disk record/playback for 24-bit 48 kHz stereo wav files, including armed recording with automatic start on audio detect.
PO-sync output on aux and cue, with selectable 8th note for PO-sync and 16th note for modular systems.
external midi control of all TX–6 parameters, for complete remote control over midi.
extended midi support for synth mode to play the synth chromatically using midi notes from an external keyboard.
added 'scenes' to save and load all settings.
usb audio multiple sample rate support: 48 kHz and additionally 44.1 kHz, for compatibility with MPC live etc.
BLE midi clock in/out support with clock routing settings.
BLE host mode to connect peripherals like BLE midi keyboards.
switchable aux and cue outputs, to be able to utilize the higher output level of the aux jack if needed for high impedance headphones.
added balanced mono input mode in addition to the stereo / mono / split modes.
parameters keep their values until a knob is moved, making it easier to switch knob config without undesired behavior.
no snap back of the freeze FX parameter. click to reset instead.
smoother change of FX I send.
stability bugfix for usb midi host mode.
usb audio mode set on menu exit, instead of directly."

Shared System Tutorials | Episode 40 | Morphagene loops & splices | With Teenage Engineering PO-32

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"In this episode I am going to use a 'cheap' drum source (but good!!!) to mash and splice up a simple drum loop into a retro-futuristic jam of beats and glitch. I've been using the Teenage Engineering PO-32 as the only sound source. It's a shared system tutorial, but it's mainly about the #Morphagene so I've been using the Tape & Microsound Music Machine layout to revisit some old school clocking techniques. This series could also be of some help if you only own a Morphagene and haven't been able to figure it out. Have fun!"

free PO-33 kit: 80s drums (works for PO 133 as well)

video upload by CNTR RNDM

"I'm an 80s kid…and, dude, in my opinion, - even if I sound like an old fart now - there was no better time to be a kid than the 80s (and the 90s, maybe). I mean, dude, I spent my Saturdays lying on the floor of our living room making mixtapes. My parents had this huuuuuuge record collection and I would spend hours on end going through these records…Joy Division, The Cure, The Smiths, Prince, all that good stuff, you know. I mean, how cool is that? And I remember being all hyped up because my parents let me watch Wrestlemania 5…dude, Hulk Hogan vs Randy Savage…can it get any better? And I sat there wearing both my Hulkamania shirt and my WW(F|E) Championship belt waving this silly foam finger in my dad's face like there was no tomorrow. Those were the days, my friend! Nintendo released the NES, Michael Jackson's Thriller came out, endless summer nights, countless barbecues…dude, seriously, how awesome were the 80s?

To honour this amazing decade, I made this PO-33 80s drum kit consisting of 15 one shot drum hits and 3 drum loops. I really just sampled a bunch of my old drum machines and layered the samples in Ableton to…well just because๐Ÿ˜‚

PO-33 KO! How to Data Transfer!

video upload by Ollie Loops

"In this chapter of our series on the Teenage Engineering PO-33 KO!, we take a look at one of the more interesting features of the KO, the ability to data transfer to and from the unit. The KO has a feature where connecting a stereo 1/8" to 1/8" cable between the unit and an audio recorder allows you to download all of the samples and patterns in the unit. This allows you to swap samples and patterns without loosing your work. You then have a back up of your work. You can also transfer files directly between two KOs. Note: this also applies to the other Pocket Operators in the Metal Series, the PO-32 and PO-35.

Here is a direct link to the WAV file:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Zeiv...

It is super important to get the right audio format when you record the data transfer. It must be a stereo 16 bit 44100 hz file format or better. The recording will likely fail if you deviant from this format."

FREE PO-33 KIT: TB-303 Acid sample kit | for Teenage Engineering PO-33 & PO-133

video upload by CNTR RNDM

"Hey, my name is Christian and I have a confession to make...I love ACID music! Over the past few years, I was involved in quite a few acid projects, such as 303 Addict, Stoney Broke Weirdos, Acid Traxx...blah, blah, who cares, right? Anyway, boomer-mode on: when I started out making acid techno, it was all about tracksuits, warehouse raves, you know all that good stuff. However, for me, acid-clubbing was never about taking pills or drinking till you pass out or whatever...I always wanted to know what gear the live acts were using, how they were performing and stuff. I always hated polished disco stuff...I was all about this raw, unpolished, acidy kind of stuff. And you know what? I still remember the first real acid gig I went to, the night I fell in love with acid music, so to say...I don't know which year it was or anything but - nevertheless - I have a super vivid memory of that particular night. So I and a couple of my mates went to this super tiny club in Duisburg called Chism (RIP Chism♥️)...we had heard good things about it but we had never been there...anyway, when we arrived, there was an old man giving out glowsticks and I was like "ok, that's weird but hey, who doesn't love glowsticks, right?"...anyway, we went in and the club was jam-packed, sweat was dripping from the ceiling, the crowd was super rowdy and aggressive (but in a positive way) and Robert Babicz aka Rob Acid was tearing the flipping walls down...it was bloody amazing...so, there was no stage or anything...he had all this gear like in the middle of the dancefloor on a folding table and there was nothing but chaos and mayhem around him...I don't know how he felt that very moment but he looked super cool and calm and played this awesome live set! Thanks for this memory Herr Babicz, Na Zdrowie! Kocham ciฤ™, mรณj przyjaciel!

Ok, I'm going off on a tangent here...sorry about that. You're probably here for the PO-33 kit so let me tell you a bit about it. For this PO-33 kit, I recorded both 303 loops and one-shots using Roland's TB-3 and D16's AMAZING Phoscyon plugin. The one-shots all come from the TB-3 and have been stored in the drum banks. The first two drum banks are arranged as follows:
Pads 1-4, C, all one-shots varying in intensity
Pads 5-8, D, all one-shots varying in intensity
Pads 9-12, G, all one-shots varying in intensity
Pads 12-16, A, all one-shots varying in intensity

The one-shots in the last drum bank have been arranged randomly.
You can download the FREE backup file here:

Feel free to check my other packs on gumroad as well:
