"Driftbox J is the first VCA-CV controller + sequencer in the series, assuming a combination of a Driftbox S / R Synthesizer and an external device such as a sequencer. Two large joysticks control the CV output on the X axis with VCA on the Y axis. Although oscillator is not installed in Driftbox J itself, by inputting audio and CV / GATE / MIDI signal from the outside, it is possible to change the level and pan without changing the audio signal groove, output the processed CV It is possible to manipulate parameters of other Synthesizers.

The driftbox C has 4 channels of audio / CV input, and the audio signal can be adjusted and output to any level on 2 BUS.
The CV input can be switched to VCA to generate a voltage, so the CV input can be added to control CV-compatible devices such as an external synthesizer VCO / VCF. With four channels of CV input and addition, it will be possible to produce changes beyond imagination. Simultaneous output of each signal is also possible by inputting CV signal to 1 / 3ch and audio signal to 2 / 4ch.

"A driftbox that derives its name from 'drift,' the slang of synthesizer Geek, which means "run out of control." The driftbox R replaces the DRIFT joystick of the driftbox S, and is equipped with an EG (envelope generator), enabling synthesis with higher playability.

The powerful cross modulation unique to the driftbox series is equipped with an envelope, which allows you to create a variety of sounds by, for example, modulating the pitch with the envelope.

With 14 knobs arranged on a compact panel, 2VCO, VCF cross modulation, and ASR/AD envelope, you can create a wider range of sounds from intense modulation to percussive sounds.

"Messing about with the Driftbox J & R sound machine team. It does give one a lot of obnoxious synth noise potential. The mono drift box R is stereo spit to the two channel input on the J the, the J jay has its own pair of VCA and the R is run on hold all the panning FX are the J's VCA's"

"An attempt to get the Roland SH and the Reon working together fiddling with the SQ 1 settings. Trying to get my head around analog sequencing. The Korg will sequince the SH 7 the Mono station will not so far. I have not looked into mess with the settings. I suspect my analog 4 can handle the SH 7 it's the gate that seems to be above 5 volt positive."

"Old and new, Roland SH 7 and the Reon Driftbox R. The Driftbox is distributed by Roland anyway. Both of these Synthesizers have very drifty none midi oscillators. The cross mod on the Driftbox is very different from that on the SH 7. In some ways these synthesizers are very similar, in other ways not. This is a drone of pure oscillator indulgence into the specular tempus hard right left channels."
