This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers.

I used here the Oberheim OB-X Synthesizer for the main synth riff , lead parts and bass. The second bass is made with the Moog Taurus bass pedals and I used the Oberheim OB-Xa for the lead and pad sound parts.

My favorite song from the Electric Light Orchestra from the Album TIME (1981)
Journey to my childhood. ✨
In the early 1980s, my father was lucky to get an AMIGA license album from ELO. It wasn't easy in the GDR. The album was my first contact with synthesizer sounds. The initial spark, so to speak, long before New Wave music aroused my interest. I kept putting the record on and the songs burned into my brain.

I used here the Oberheim OB-Xa Synthesizer for the pads, string sounds and the main synth riff. The bass is made with the Moog Taurus.
And I used the Roland VP-330 Vocoder Plus for the vocoder voices and string/choir sounds . The piano sound is made with the Yamaha Reface CP"

The second Genesis video of three in the mini series. Mama is one of my favorite Genesis songs.
Yes it`s a cover but not original at all. It`s my interpretation of this great song.

I used The DX7 for the voice main synth sound. In the original song is the sound made with the NED Synclavier II. The triggered chord sound is made with the ARP QUADRA.
The analog pad sound and the deep humming sound is made with the Oberheim OB-Xa. In the original with the Prophet-5/10.
The deep bass in the middle part is the MOOG TAURUS bass pedals.
The thin synthetic sound in the middle part is made with the Emulator II.
The drum beat is the LinnDrum. Additional Percussion is Simmons SDS-8 and Emulator II."

Logan Vocalist - 37-note (F-F) monophonic and polyphonic analog choir synthesizer from the year 1979
Rare like stardust and maybe one of the most interesting human voice synths ever. Made in Italia.

The sound is a bit like the Roland VP-330 human voice section but you have a lot more possiblities with the 3 vowel filters (aaaa----oooo----uuuuu), the envelopes and mixing the different sounds.
Unique sound and very characterful like a Mellotron or Vocoder.
