"A quick surface look at the world of modular Eurorack synthesis featuring my own 432HP skiff and how I use it. This is not a tutorial on how to use each module as much as it is a look at some of the very best modular has to offer (from a musical standpoint). Again, I am not a noise maker as much as I am a traditional musician and my rig is built to be played like a traditional keyboard like synthesizer, much less a "beep bop boop bop" randomized noise machine. The beautiful part about modular synthesis is everyone has different taste; this is my humble take on the fascinating and quite addictive world of "Euro-crack." "Loki from Poly Effects gave us a look at their Euro-Rack module, Hector, a virtual modular environment with six ins and eight outs and over 100 different modules including all of Mutable Instruments' modules, effects and more. Hector features a Euclidean sequencer and a brand new chord strummer module that allows users to select chords and strum them.

We then saw Beebo, which is Hector in guitar pedal form with four ins and four outs and Josh Smith Flat V which is a gain pedal with 2 channels. Channel A is transistor based with selectable diodes. Channel B is amp style gain circuit with cascaded JFETs replacing valves while resonant filters shape the tone.

"There have already been some great walkthroughs by Loopop and Red Means Recording [see previous posts] so in this series I'd like to focus on the more exotic 'modules' in the Hector virtual modular module. It reminds me a lot of VCV-Rack because it has the most important Mutable modules on board (Plaits, Grids, Marbles, Warps, Clouds, Tides, Rings, etc) but even then you'll be just scratching the big touch surface. There are amp sims, there's convolution reverb and a huge array of effects and utilities. It's the ultimate starter module too."

The James Bond soundset for your Wladorf blofeld synth!

An exclusive soundset for your Waldorf blofeld with a James Bond theme behind it. These patches are all original, NO FACTORY patches OR other USER patches here. All patch names were chosen from a number of characters past and present from the James Bond movies. Each patch reflects the characters role in the movie.

As for the sounds? Well... the sounds are incredible! A lot of edgy type material with lots of energy, thanks to the Wavetables and Overdrive curve section. All patches are "up to date" modern electronic sounds that are extremely useful, none of this cheesy stuff for sure!

The Moonraker soundset is especially great for Electro House/ Prog. House, Nu style Trance, Pop, Soulful/Funky Future Jack House and Hip Hop.

This is Vol. #1 with 65 patches in all (Vol. #2 is coming soon with the new License SL Sample option for the blofeld with even greater sound possibilities, also Buyers of this one will get a discount on "Moonraker" Vol.#2).
