Korg PS3100 & SQ10

"Here is my PS3100 being sequenced by my SQ10. It is a six note sequence which turns into simple 're-triggering' when I turn up the portamento on the SQ10... which is where I play the chords, to add some melody. The PS3100/SQ10 combination seems pretty versatile even though the SQ was intended for the MS range. No 'CV in' on the PS though but there are ways around that...;c)"

"Another of my PS3100 videos. On this one I am modulating both Osc, Filter and the VCA with ModGen1 with a square wave and set to a slow speed. Playing on the down stroke as it were, you just get 'blips'. Some cool rhythms can be coaxed out of her this way...;c)"

This video is my humble attempt to share the unique layout of this rare synthesizer. Fonitronik PS3100 / external modulation / GENERATE 3 / MATHS

"In this clip I experimented with sending envelopes and audio rate modulation to the CV inputs on the Fonitronik PS3100 Triple Resonator. GENERATE 3 is used as an audio source and it's set up (with the help of a second VCO) to produce a sync tone."

Korg PS3100 - Squarewave Modulating Osc, Filter & VCA

"This time I also have full depth modulation on the VCA. You just get a 'blip' playing on the up beat, when the square also happens to be lowest ~ VCA closed. Get it right and you can get some interesting rhythms going..!"

PS3100 triple vactrol resonator for Eurorack DIY

"A short demo of the PS3100 resonators for Eurorack. The module features three vactrol based voltage controlled bandpass filters with fixed Q, as known from the PS3100. It provides a common input and output for all three channels, as well as single in- and outputs. The on-board wide range triangle LFO is resettable (sync) and is normalled to the CV inputs of the 3 BPFs. The LFOs signal can be inverted for the 3rd channel."

"Drone created with the Korg PS3100 analoge, semi-modular polyphonic synthesizer. Very small amount of delay added. It's surely not the only thing the PS3100 is good add, but for sure one of its' main strengths!"

Click here for a full sized image of the ad to the left on Korg Kornukopia. The ad is for the Korg PS3100 and PS3300 fully polyphonic analog modulars. Yep, fully polyphonic. Each offered full polyphony at a stagering 48 voices - you could press every key down and they would all play. They used divide down circuitry for the oscillators but each note triggered its own dynamic filter, envelope and VCA. The PS3100 featured 32 patch points and the PS3300 featured over 60. The PS3300 was in essence three PS3100s in one.
