"the seasons" and "Flight of the Atom Bee" - knox bronson
via knox bronson
"I have recently released a new instrumental cd, "the seasons," an electronic/classical work in four movements. So far I am getting all 4 and 5 star reviews. for more info on the seasons: http://www.theseasonscd.com/ or http://www.knoxbronson.com ...
To help publicize it,
I am uploading a free download a week from my older electronic works (lots of analogue stuff), Flight of the Atom Bee (right now) and when I am done with that, I will be uploading the complete "Deus Sex Machina" cd for free download.
There are 3 songs from the cd up so far. The Big Shimmer, Wild Pink Yonder, and Flight of the Atom Bee. Coming up: [Hydraulic] Serenity Applicator (lots of serge on there, too)"
Pictured is the system "used for the Bee sound, the birdie, the wind, and the drone in "Flight of the AtomBee." Note this is not the actual patch as it was vastly more complicated. You can find the full story on the making of FOTAB here.
"from the cd cover photoshoot with amber arbucci" for "the seasons"
Update: album cover added.

How to play Oxygene in a toy organ
YouTube via cmatsuoka
"This is a rendition of Jarre's Oxygene played entirely on a cheap Casio toy organ (except percussion and sound effects), just to see if it was possible to get a minimally recognizable result, and to show that you don't need lots of expensive keyboards to have fun playing classic synth stuff. All lines were played by hand with no sequencer and no MIDI, just a multitrack recorder.
I only studied each part briefly before recording, so don't expect note-by-note accuracy. Some parts were just ad-libbed or deliberately changed to sound better with the (very) limited range of available sounds, but you'll get a general idea of arrangements and overall mood.
So that's it, get your $20 keyboard and enjoy!"
