Clues Uses the OLPC and Tam Tam

See the post on MATRIXSYNTH-C. The OLPC is the one laptop per child program mainly focused on third world countries. They had a program where you could buy a laptop for donation and receive one in return for free. TamTam is a music program that comes with the laptop. See the OLPC label below for more. Be sure to see the MATRIXSYNTH-C post for Clues. More info on TamTam here.

BugBrand Modular Feedback Synth

YouTube via machinate
"A improv jam on my portable modular synth setup, exploring some of the sounds from a BugBrand/MakeNoise/Doepfer patch.

All sounds derived from a single, wailing pwm oscillator. QMMG in the feedback path of BugBrand PTdelay with a secondary PTdelay for space. Oh and way too much modulation. This patch is full stereo, it really likes HD."

Roland S-50 Sampler Demo Song - "Sunday Paper"

YouTube via peahix
"I recently scored a Roland S-50 sampling keyboard off craigslist for $60, and have been putting it thru its paces with floppy images downloaded off the net. Since there's not much in the way of demos of this beast online, I thought I'd make a video of the S-50 running its Director-S sequencer OS and playing the demo tune that came on the disc, called "Sunday Paper." Cheesy stuff, for sure, but it'll give you a basic idea of the sound quality of the S-50, what it can do in real-time, and also a small taste of the sort of factory samples that were generated for it.

Owners of vintage Roland samplers will find this to be a valuable resource of sounds and information: http://www.generalconcepts.com/sgroup/"

Custom Black C-Thru-Music AXiS-64

"I recently received my AXiS-64 Harmonic Table MIDI controller directly from C-Thru Music. They customized the metal case with a black finish instead of the standard silver."

Speak and Math and Test and Toast

YouTube via nevenen
"Bent Speak and Math, taking it through the paces. The thing on the top is a pressure sensor -- first time I've used one on anything. It's fun... kind of like the bending version of a whammy bar."
