Ran Kirlian - Farewell (MS2000 Trio)

YouTube via RanKirlian — May 15, 2010 — "This is the last video about the Korg MS2000 series. It is a mix from 3 recording sessions involving the same sound: one of them was recorded months ago while the other two were recorded one day before selling the synth. After listem to them and find them so similar in structure, tone and feeling, I just tried to mix them together and found it nice as a good bye to the synth. All of the takes starts with the same sound but evolves to different stages."

The Eagle has landed

YouTube via attorks — May 15, 2010

"Yesterday I received the Synthesizers.com Q960 sequencer and Q962 sequential switch modules. Fitted the modules in the empty cabinet and started playing around: this is awesome! Today I tried shifting the Q960 from the Doepfer MAQ16/3 and it works great; the gate of row 3 of the MAQ16/3 controls id fed to the shift input of the Q960. Row 1 of the MAQ16/3 has an 8-step sequence for the Ian Fritz Teezer Through-Zero VCO which is fed to the Resonant LoPass Gate. Row 2 of the MAQ16/3 has also an 8-step sequence for the self-built Modular. Row 2 of the Q960 controls the Synthesizers.com Modular. The drum sounds are from the Zoom RhythmTrak RT-323 which is synchronized by the MAQ16/3 via MIDI. The VP-330 strings are performed on the Roland XP-80, the bass on the Clavia Nord Lead 1 and some additional chords on the Waldorf Q Keyboard."

MonoChuck - Wii Nunchuk Controlled Monotron

YouTube via Denkitribe — May 15, 2010 — "My second attempt in circuit bending the monotron. You can control the monotron with Nunchuk's accelerometer and analog stick. I used todbot's WiiChuck adaptor to connect the Nunchuk to the Arduino. http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/prod..."

Andy Wig - EML Signal Hymn

YouTube via arthurpainter — May 15, 2010 — "A realtime improv using my EML Electrocomp 200 modular synth as the only sound/modulation/effects source. Original title was "Disambiguation" for those folks who know about such things."

sGAR (monome 256) - ZSAMIF - early build

silverspaceship — May 10, 2010 — This is my first test of my monome 256, running an early build of sGAR, some custom music creation software I'm writing for the monome. (I've been working on it for a few weeks using a placeholder mouse interface; I just got the monome today.) Not intended as real music. Mostly it's demoing ZSAMIF, a monome-editable soft synth I wrote this weekend with up to 32 detuned oscillators per voice. There are a bunch of sound quality issues and many missing features in this version, but I just wanted to give a taste of things to come...
