Jigsaw

Jigsaw by curvetheory
"Just having a little fun on a Sunday afternoon.

I am using a Voyager RME, which of course doesn't have a touch surface...enter the Korg KO Pro. I am using it to send MIDI CC# 1-3 to my Moog Multi-pedal, converting that to CV and then plugging those patch cables into the X, Y and Gate of the "Touch" section of the Moog VX-352, plugged into the RME. In the touch parameters of the RME, I have the X destination set to External Audio, which happens to be a pad sound from the E-Mu XL-7. The Voyager and XL-7 are being played through Ableton with an Akai MPK49 simultaneously. The Y destination on the Voyager is Filter Cutoff. The Gate destination is OSC 2. As I sweep the KO Pro's touch surface from left to right the audio of the XL-7 is brought in. As an added bonus, I'm using MIDIPipe to utilize the aftertouch of the MPK49 with the Voyager. Converting the aftertouch data to MIDI CC#4, routed to the Multi-pedal and being converted into CV, allows me to plug a patch cable with aftertouch into any CV that I want. In this piece the aftertouch is plugged into the LFO rate of the Moog CP-251, saw out to the filter cutoff in on the VX-352. The gurgley notes are a result of this technique. Yes, I do know this means I'm a geek. I'm no longer in denial."

Elektron Octatrack Update - LFOs

1. LFO Remixing by Elektron "An example of how much the LFOs can change a pattern. The LFOs, using both standard and designed waveforms, are controlling pitch, filter and start parameters." via http://www.elektron.se/products/octatrack

"The Octatrack has plenty of LFO power under the hood. All internal tracks have three dedicated tempo-synced LFOs at their disposal, meaning 24 LFOs in total are available. The LFOs can be assigned to a wide range of parameters and are useful for adding movement and evolving changes to samples. The LFOs can be set to eleven basic waveforms plus eight LFO designer waveforms.

The LFO designer allows for customized LFO waveforms. An LFO designer waveform consists of 16 steps where each step can have a manually set value. The steps can be either interpolated or stepped. LFO designer waveforms are very versatile and can almost be regarded as mini-sequencers. They can for example be used to make rhythmic track parameter changes or, when modulating the start point of sampled drum loops, function as instant remix tools. Each track contains an LFO designer and all designed waveforms are available for all LFOs."

Korg Oasys: caricare wav in sequencer / wav load

YouTube via JackOasys | November 07, 2010

"
Korg Oasys Tutorial: a clear explanation for those who still have doubts about how, or exploit it rarely and often forget. Download wav file so Sequencer allows you to play pre-recorded live with bases (samples, effects, or entire original intro song they composed.) At the start of the sequencer will start a "song" where you can play on the midi tracks as audio tracks in predetermined places, leave the wav file that you uploaded.
CAUTION
Two important things to remember:
1) you can load only 48 kHz mono WAV file (all other types must first be converted, you can do it directly on Oasys with "Rate Convert" in the way disk
2) to be loaded into the sequencer, wav files are first copied to the internal HD necessarily. You can not upload directly from a USB stick, CD or other audio peripherals.
