Reactable Live @ Dubspot! Interactive Sound Design Workshop Recap
YouTube Uploaded by DubSpot on Nov 21, 2011
"More info - http://bit.ly/sAjMDV
In September, Dubspot had the wonderful pleasure of hosting a live streaming workshop with Create Digital Music's Peter Kirn and Martin Kaltenbrunner of Reactor. Developed in Spain by Austrian and Spanish music and media technologists, Reactable is a musical instrument that is changing the way modern electronic music is produced and performed. In this video recap of the live webcast, Peter Kirn asked the necessary question "what makes this an instrument?" and Martin Kaltenbrunner answered that question with a demonstration using Reactable's tangible and intuitive interface to create and manipulate sounds on the fly. Furthermore, Peter and Martin talked about interface design, music technology, production and performance of electronic music without a computer, and much more."

Machinedrum Impulse Machine Syncs Buchla 200e
YouTube Uploaded by dkimcg on Nov 22, 2011
"Test of my new iPhone 4s shooting the video, and a test of syncing the Buchla to the Machinedrum without midi (Octatrack does nothing but send midi clock and control out). I send an impulse machine to the buchla 227e envelope follower which send the signal out to triggers in the Buchla. The vocal synth is the Machinedrum which was synced as usual through midi.
Jomox TResonator takes the C&D (rear) outputs, puts some envelope filter/delays on it, and feeds it back into the mix. Some expansion and reverb in logic for smoke and mirrors to try to distract from crappy levels while recording.
Sorry for the shaky cam, I need to figure out how to put it on a tripod or stand, til then, shaky cams o' plenty."
Buchla 291e: Tribal Jam
YouTube Uploaded by djangosfire on Nov 22, 2011
"Jamming w/the 291e Triple Morphing FIlter at the core. 266e Noise output split 3x ways into the 291e - a pair of 281e Quad Function Generators (along w/ the 291e internal sequencer) provides the rhythm & timing for the beats. A 254v is the key for mixing pulses and EGs, manually and automatically via the patch (266e, 230e etc..). The random "screaming" is coming from a 261e & 258v."

Weirding Module - Feedback and other goodies
Uploaded by synthmonger on Nov 22, 2011
"Ton of stuff going on in this demo. Mostly feeding the saw or triangle wave into the linear or 1v/o inputs with aliasing on or off. Feeding the triangle wave into the linear input gives a more logarithmic slope to the waves. It also affects the VCF into a weird kind of aliasing or "triangular sloping"
Feeding the VCO waves into the VCF audio input don't always give the best results, since the VCF frequency knob also determines the vco frequency, but certain settings can be fun."
