"The 2012 NAMM Show was a chart topping success. With record numbers in turnout and many notable new products being released this year, NAMM was a sight to behold. The Dubspot team was in attendance to get the scoop on the latest movements in technology and sound from the world of music manufacturers. Upon our arrival we eagerly ran from booth to booth, checking out new products from companies such as Moog Music, Akai, Arturia, Korg, Keith McMillen, Smithson Martin, Eowave, Teenage Engineering, Rane, Allen & Heath, and Pioneer. This was no easy feat at a convention that tops 100,000 visitors annually at the Anaheim, CA Convention Center.

DSI Tempest - "Synth mode" test

"No flashy performances or crazy beat-mangling going on here. Just testing the Tempest as a 6-voice analog / digital polysynth.

Sorry for the shaky video."

The Synthesizer Laser

Or rather the laser oscilloscope. Via ModularSynthesis where you'll find a video of the laser being used with a MOTM E350 Morphing Terrarium.

"I've always liked XY audio oscilloscope displays so I decided to build an XY laser using a Midwest Laser scanner. My first images were using my MOTM E350 Morphing Terrarium which generates some pretty nice patterns."

RL Music Synth Pics - Custom Emu Modular, Rhodes Chroma & More

via RL Music

Regarding the custom Emu:
"Here's the full high-res picture of my Emu Modular that I took in Aug 2010, just after KSR had immaculately restored it. This is a rather unusual system in that it was built from a kit, although the keyboard controller was the standard Factory unit. You may be able to tell from the picture, but this could operate up to 16 note polyphony so was powerful and sounded simply beautiful. This was I sold in 2011 to a huge Modular fan whom also had purchased some Roland System 700 block from me previously. I hope you like the picture :o)"

"Here is a nice picture of a Rhodes Chroma & Expander I sold to a very nice Austrian Surgeon/Synth enthusiast back in 2009. Both units were fully restored by Kent Spong of KSR....to perfection as always :o)"

Techno...Electro...Whatever....

"This is a rhythmic patch featuring the 258v and ZOe modules. The saw section is driven by the first sequencer from the 251e. The square section is the kick/bass. The ZOe is FM'd by the saw of the 258v. The 259e provides the snare and the 266e is the source for the hat."

ELECTRO HARMONIX Big Box MICRO SYNTH

via this auction

"Here is a an Electro Harmonix Big Box. This older version of the pedal has become a desired for its classic folded body, self adjustable pot accessible on bottom, and reported longer sustain than its newer counterpart. This particular version also lends itself to extraordinary mods, that can be seen throughout the Web.

When I got this pedal a time back, I could never get it play like I wanted. After reading online blogs and posts, I found that there is a reported learning curve that accompanies this pedal. It is analog monophonic, and requires a proper technique and style of play. I personally could never adjust to it, and could not determine if it was just my inability, or faulty pedal. Not having access to another pedal to compare it to, I contacted Electro Harmonix to see if they could check it out for me. They were very cooperative, and gave me an address and instructions of were to send it to to have it inspected. They said they would charge a flat fee of $25 and for that amount , test and recalibrate the unit to factory specs. This would include the service and return shipping!

I thought this sounded like a great deal. I became occupied with other projects and never got around to it, and am now selling it.

This being said, the pedal is in great cosmetic condition with minor wear(see photos) Because I can not guarentee that the pedal is playing at 100%, It is being sold AS IS., and at a lower than general price. As mentioned above, If you found that the pedal is not playing as intended, ElectroHarmonix will test and recalibrate the unit to factory specs, for $25.00."
