Elektron Analog Four - Sonic Lab Close Up

Published on Jan 11, 2013 sonicstate·297 videos

"We've been hearing a lot about Elektron's new analog four voice. From the stylish but somewhat obscure introduction movie which piqued our interest, to the sound audition pieces coming online as people get hold of their very own units.

The Analog Four is a new type of instrument from Elektron as it has 100% analog VCOs and Filters which are digitally controlled. Their Machine Drum and MonoMachine have been Virtual Analog and sample based.

Elektron came over from their Gothenburg HQ to give us a closeup look at the Analog Four.
Jon is the product manager and is doing the talking, Jenk the guy making all the sounds.

i make no apologies for the length of the video, its just that there seemed to be so many things to talk about. Also this is intended to be a discussion about the features of the instrument, there are many other videos available that are just audio demos - check them out.

The Elektron Analog Four is available now via selected retailers and direct from the Elektron Website."

Spectralis 2 Tutorial: Isolating one oscillator and removing all modulation sources

Published on Jan 11, 2013 acemonvw·7 videos

"This is a guide to isolating one oscillator from the Asynth to create a monophonic synth. You can use more than one oscillator for each trigger group (OSC1, OSC2, OSC3, OSC4), but you can't use each OSC for multiple TGs. In this tutorial, I go through all 27 pages and try to describe modulation sources from each that could affect your basic sounds. I use only OSC1, pass it through the LP only, and create a single oscillator saw waveform.

When I say 'caret' I'm referring to this ^ These let you know that an LCD encoder for that particular parameter has sub menus.

Yes I made a few mistakes:
@ 6:00, I mention page 8 or 9 of 12. There are 27 pages, not 12.

@ 6:35 I believe I talk about the Volume envelope bypass. I never use this function so I didn't know how to explain it, but basically, you can bypass the envelope (ADSR) and just have the sound activate and deactivate upon pressing a note.

@ 15:35, I didn't actually tell you what sequencerline I was on, it's set up as Sequencerline 11. You can set up a new sequencerline by pressing [Target], moving the first encoder under the LCD clockwise and create a new sequencerline. Then, I believe Trigger group 1 is under Asynth, but I'll go back and check later.
