New Eurorack Mystery Module Part II

Published on Aug 30, 2013 JohnLRice·216 videos

"This is another test of the same module I was using in the previous video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-RTjo... [posted here]

Some folks were concerned with the last video because they couldn't see what I was doing and that I used some non-eurorack modules. So in this teaser test you can see what I'm doing (mostly) and it's all 100 percent eurorack modules!

I'll update the description to include module and manufacturer details hopefully soon.

Thanks for watching!"

Wersi Bass Synth from 1977

"Some random button and keyboard bashing on this Wersi Bass synth I found at the local flea market for a rather good price (first decent find ever!) considering the current value of analog VCO monosynths). I got it in good working condition and it's really mint.

The controls are a little quirky - but I love quirky."

"Demonstration of Both Together - A Great Duo from Arturia - 9 Minutes Unedited Jam ( Audio Synch may separate from the video slightly ) The sound is a direct recording into Ableton Live 9 with basic effects added. This music is my original composition using these instruments, it's called "Electromaniac".

[ I have obtained official permission to video review and Monetize videos from
the software / synth companies featured in this video - I can give you references if you wish. They are Arturia ( maker of the Spark LE Drum Machine, and MiniBrute Synth ) and Ableton ( maker of Ableton Live 9 Recording Software ) ]"

Circuit Abbey Invy as Waveform Processor (Eurorack/Doepfer Modular Synth Demo)

Published on Aug 30, 2013 flx04·50 videos

"It occurred to me yesterday, that you can use the Invy's clipping behaviour to add and subtract waveforms in some really cool ways. After watching the video, try out mixing different waveforms at different frequencies for even more fun! If you have any questions or comments, please post them below :) Thanks for watching!

Filmed with a Canon EOS 550D (Rebel t2i) with Magic Lantern and a GoPro 1.

808 STATE-NIMBUS-GRANADA TONIGHT-1992.

"One of Manchester's finest 808 state perform Nimbus.I think this was from Liverpool's Albert Dock."

Major synth spotting: Oberheim Four Voice System (FVS), ARP 2600, Odyssey & Sequencer, Moog Memorymoog, Minimoog, Prodigy & Opus 3, Roland JD-800.  I can't place the synth under the Minimoog.  I know I've seen it before.  It's not a Steiner Parker Synthacon and it's not the PPG mono synth.  You can see the front panel knobbage at 3:03 (303?). It looks like a Powertran but hinged up. I thought it might be an EML Synkey but it has more knobs. I know that synth. What is it?

Update: answer via Colin f in the comments below.  I was going to add it to the post but didn't want to spoil it for anyone trying to guess.  The answer didn't come to until I was finally drifting off to sleep last night.

Pictured above is the voice changer

"This module was originally used as a desktop hotel switchboard. It contains a circuit bent toy voice changer which creates octaves and 'robot sounds.' I have added a modification which allows variable sampling and playback speeds of audio fed into it."

Directly above is the sequencer

"Each side of the switchboard contains a Music From Outer Space ten step sequencer, with some added features such as external trigger inputs and pulse outs on each step. They can run independently or in sync with each other."

Directly above is the synthesizer

"The synthesizer currently contains VCS, VCF, and envelope modules by Ken Stone and Music From Outer Space. It also contains the MFOS noise cornucopia module for various percussive sounds. Sequencer is right below it."

Anyone hear of this before?  Brushed metal, silver knobs and clear buttons.  I thought it might be a custom job until I saw the display above.  Note the image directly below is upside down.
