Ivo Ivanov - Tiptop Audio Trigger Riot

Ivo Ivanov - Tiptop Audio Trigger Riot - 11.15.13

Published on Nov 15, 2013 Ivo Ivanov·4 videos

"Second patch with the TipTop Audio Trigger Riot.

Basically a variation on the first patch example in the owner's manual.

This patch features the Tiptop Audio Trigger Riot, Z8000, Z-DSP, BD808, SD808, HATS909.

My second day with the Trigger Riot - still a lot to learn/read, but things are starting to click more and more. Love this module beyond words!

Additional modules used in this patch:

Synthrotek 5A Super Slim Eurorack Power Supply System

via Synthrotek

"Synthrotek's 'super-slim' Eurorack Power Supply System is designed to give you maximum power in a small, elegant package. This product boasts more than twice as much power as other similarly priced products!

The option of 3U at 4 HP or 1U at 6 HP power entry panels makes this system easy to integrate into any professional or DIY case. For maximum flexibility, this power supply kicks out all 3 rails (-12, +12, +5) with adequate power for a medium-sized case. There are 4 mounting holes on the perimeter of the PC board.

Ideal for 3X84HP and beyond (make sure to consult the owner's manuals of your modules in order to make sure you are not trying to pull more amps than are available with this power supply). 12V 5A power supply required to operate this product (can be purchased as an option above). Comes with 2 feet of both red and black 16-gauge stranded hookup wire (more can be purchased if needed as an option above).

This is also available in a kit form.

When purchased with optional 12V 5A power brick/desktop power supply:

+12 @ 2.2A
-12 @ 1.3A
+5 @ 1.5A

PCB Dimensions: 4 1/16'' x 1 5/8''"

"A quick video while experimenting with Wolfgang Palm's upcoming WaveGenerator VST, driven directly by the Eigenharp. This plugin is the first I know of that supports Voice Per Channel MIDI so that each note can have its own dedicated pitch-bend and MIDI CC expression."

ROLAND D-70 Digital Synthesizer 1990 | HD DEMO

"(c) 2013 by AnalogAudio1

I played the Roland D-70 without any additional effects or eq. All you hear is coming straight out of the Roland D-70.

The fully digital Roland D-70 employs a LA (Linear Arithmetic) sound engine. It contains samples which can be filtered with lowpass/bandpass/highpass filters. The oscillators can be modulated via DLM (differential loop modulation). This can produce weird sounds, like heard in the video. A pity, that the JD-800 does not have this feature. It also has a multi effect processor built in (reverb, chorus, delay...). It has TONE PALLETE sliders, which help a lot to tweak the sounds.

In my opinion, the D-70 is more a 'live performance synth' than a studio synthesizer. That's the reason why a rack version never appeared.

The D-70 is very complex. But not exactly the synthesis engine - rather the performance functions: splits, MIDI functions, controller maps, master keyboard functions and that sort of things.... but I must admit, sometimes it sounds beautiful.

It was used by Michael Cretu (Enigma, Sandra)."

I'm curious how this compared to the D50.

"Where do i begin with this!! Okay this is the best Omega 8 EVER!!! It started its life as a stock Omega 8 (5000.00) then added the MIDIMINIAFY 8 mod, adding 8 discrete VCAs via toggles on the front panel (1400.00) THEN added 8 CS-80 filters, these arent the SE CS-80 rather than 8 actual MOTM CS-80 filter boards!! I didnt stop there, there, i also added 8 actual MOTM 440 (SSM) filters to this synthesizer, it is the only one ever to have this modification...and it sounds wonderful. This also has a newer front panel, It will be very sad to see this go, as i've had it for about 10 years, and cost would be close to 10 grand! Free shipping within the US, international shipping based on location."

"Up for auction is a SynKey 1500 by Electronic Music Laboratories (EML). This is a monophonic synthesizer with some very unique features. For starters, while it only has a single oscillator, it is continuously variable between pulse, saw, and square wave. And while it's a monophonic synth, the SynKey allows the player to add overtones in musical intervals using the 12 button array in the VCO section. This makes it easy to play a chord using a single finger! The filter section features low pass, band pass and high pass. The keyboard also features after-touch that can be applied to the filter, LFO, or as a pitch bend..."
