"This synthesizer is in excellent (mint) condition inside and out and includes custom maple wood side panels. This synthesizer was recently serviced (2011) and was given a clean bill of health by Wine Country Productions, the predominate experts in Sequential Circuits repair and sales (invoice included). This is one sweet sounding synthesizer with its dual oscillators, two different sequencers, onboard arpeggiator, glide/pitch wheels, poly-modulation and has 100 memory patches to store your own sounds along with 100 preset voices.

The P600 has two oscillators per voice with sawtooth, triangle and variable pulse waveforms. The oscillators can be individually tuned or synched together. The P600 was the first available synth to implement MIDI. The P600 is great for creating analog effects, swells and drones. Its big brother is the legendary Prophet 5 and similar quality VCF and VCA sections of the Prophet 5 can be found here. The P-5’s Poly-Mod section has also been passed onto the P600."

Emulator X3 Sampling Synthesizer Simply The Best

Published on Jul 30, 2014 DigitalSamples

A look back at the Emulator X3 promo video.

"Emulator X3 is known as E-MU's most powerful software-sampler ever created after 40 years of synthesis experience following the success of its successors, Emulator X and Proteus X. This is the 3rd and last version of their great software sampler that inspires most audio enthusiasts and musicians who love to record, create and chop their own samples from scratch and design a unique blend of sounds.

Emulator X3 new sampling technology provides users the the best MIDI control of any soft synth in the market allowing you to map control messages that supports program and bank changes, which means multiple banks of sounds can be loaded. Featuring Xstream™ 24-bit/192 kHz, Streaming Engine, sound quality is totally unmatched using E-MU's patented pitch interpolation and precision 32-bit floating point processing. Unlike Emulator X and Proteus X, this is the only sampling tool that has native support on 32-bit and 64-bit applications both for Windows XP, Vista and is indeed compatible to run on Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems."

via Wikipedia:

"Following E-MU's decision to end sales and production of its hardware sampler line in 2003, Emulator X was released as the company's first entry into the software sampler market in 2004.[1] Emulator X2 was released in 2006,[3] followed by the third and final incarnation, Emulator X3, in 2009.[4] The product has since been discontinued[5] and is no longer available to purchase from either E-MU or its parent company, Creative Technology."

Welcome to the first video in my new Gear Spotlight series. The goal is to create a song using one electronic instrument each week. I wanted to start with a challenge, so here is my song, composed entirely on a Arturia Microbrute. One voice, no presets. Each sound completely made from scratch.

It took a while and some research to figure out how to get the drum parts sounding close to something drum-ish, but in the end I think it all turned out good!"
