Futureperfect Christmas 2014

"In the future, we will only have one holiday. It will happen because of robots. Welcome to Futureperfect Christmas 2014.

Futureperfect Christmas is a collaboration from some friends and synth heads from across all the internet. We wanted to do a semi-good album's worth of electronic music that reflects a bit of the winter holiday season, partially to have some fun, partially to justify all the expensive crap we have sitting in our studios, but what we got was a semi-GREAT collection of over 14 tracks of pure digital bliss.

We're selling the album online for $4. All proceeds are going directly to charity, because, ya know, Christmas and all. This year's charity is Doctors Without Borders, so by buying this record you are literally saving people's lives and making the world a better place. Not even Daft Punk could pull off something like this because they're just heartless, soulless French robots. Help us shame uncharitable French robots by buying our record!

To check it out and listen to the tracks you can head over to our Bandcamp page."

2014-F (Kurzweil Forte® Video Contest)

Published on Nov 30, 2014 strogon42

"Here's my entry to the Kurzweil Forte® Video Contest.

My song is called "2014-F" and it's an original song written, performed and recorded entirely by me.

I hope you like it. If you do, please click the thumbs up to like the video, so I can have a shot at winning the contest!

All sounds are from a Kurzweil PC3 without Kore64 expansion and programmed by me or are factory sounds. Most drums and the arpeggiated synth bass line were programmed in the DAW and played back by the PC3 via MIDI. The rest was played by hand and recorded via multitracking.

In the DAW I used only some reverb, a simple delay, some track EQs and and also an EQ on the master bus.

You can listen to the song in high quality audio and download it at my SoundCloud page:

ZOOM Bass Synthesizer Demo

via Inner Insiders

"I play electro-jazz bass solo live and I send to you a track played on bass synthesizer. The track, 'Evening streets'

The sounds come only from a "ZOOM 708 II Bass" effects processor.

Indeed, along with standard bass effects, the 708 II has synth sounds :

- 1 called 'oldschool' : synth sound with decay, resonnance and sensibility controls
- 4 called 'standard' : synth variations with sensibility and equalizer controls
- 1 humanizer effect with 4 vowels variations, decay and equalizer controls

And of course you can add the other 708 II effects to the synth sound. Here I use Stereo Delay and Step Filter."

Update: One more demo featuring six sounds: syn708.mp3

The Monkey's Mickey Dolenz with Moog Modular

via zeroto180.org

"Dolenz is considered the third person (if you kindly ignore Paul Beaver & Bernie Krause) to purchase a Moog synthesizer behind (1) Walter/Wendy Carlos and (2) Buck [!] Owens. According to the MonkeesSessionography website, Micky Dolenz superimposed his Moog treatments sometime between August/September onto a recording of 'Daily Nightly' made at RCA Victor studio in Hollywood on June 19, 1967."

ARP Axxe MK1 Synthesizer with PPC Mod and Manuals SN 0650

"Up for sale is a (1) vintage ARP Axxe synthesizer, model 2311 with factory PPC modification. It's just been completely overhauled (invoice of the service included in the sale): it has a full new slider set, new keyboard bushings, the buss-bars and key contacts are been cleaned, it has the audio path upgrade for the filter, the psu is been recapped and it's been calibrated. You won't find one in better technical condition. Optical it's in nice condition for its age, but there are some small scratches on it, some wear and tear, some little holes in the wooden sides and some sticker rests on it (see photo's). Overall it's a beautiful piece of history and it deserves a good home. It comes with its original owner's manual and patchbook with 60 factory patches. It's a 200- 250V version and the serial number is: 23110650."
