"This Polysix six is the 1st that I know of to be placed on the market with the midi pitch bend option. The Polysix has been completely updated by my amazing technician who is brilliant. He did wonder to this polysix and has got it tuning now better then spec, Amazing! It was a lot of hard work getting this synth to perform professionally. the tubbutec modysix mod is functioning 100%, he just released the pitch bend mod technical information to me a few days ago.Has a newly installed battery socket so that future battery replacement will be very simple, just pull it out and replace with a new one, no soldering. keyboard is nice and even all the way up and down. Overall the synth is cosmetically a 8 out of 10 conservatively. Your synth will ship in a padded keyboard case with extra packaging around that for the upmost safety in shipping..."

Oberheim OB-8 synth demo, by Pulse Emitter

Published on Jan 26, 2014 Daryl Groetsch

"Oberheim OB-8 analog synthesizer, 1983. No effects added, just the keyboard played and programmed live. Panning is done with the voice pan pots on the side. A heavenly synth, lush and classy. A glass of champagne on a velvet couch, rainbows in a night sky. This beast is truly alive, you have to thank it for working for you, and love it, appreciate it. You will soon become familiar with its interior; like the owner of an old car, you will have the hood up often. Like a cat you have to coax it into behaving. But love it and the love is returned ten fold, with pure tonal gold.

Ensoniq VFX-SD synth demo, by Pulse Emitter

Published on Jan 31, 2014 Daryl Groetsch

"Ensoniq VFX-SD digital synthesizer, 1989. All sounds custom programmed and played live with no external effects. The VFX is pure magic. The tone majestic and expressive, colorful and ethereal. A rich and fibrous sound, more organic than most digital synths, with deep lows and crystal clear highs. And it can get pretty weird as well... It's not a typical sample-based synth because of the addition of something called "Transwaves" (oscillator waveforms whose shape can be modulated--it's Ensoniq's version of wavetable synthesis, see PPG, Waldorf, etc). This makes for sounds with as much motion and life as an analog synth but with far greater possibilities. Quite an underrated board. By the way, at 2:45 and 3:38 "ALL-WAVES" are used, which cycles through every waveform in the synthesizer.
