Madrona Labs Update - New Eurorack Module in the Works, Aalto & Soundplane Updates

The Aalto 1.6 update is out! A free download for Mac, and one for Windows… you probably know the drill. Log in to the Madrona Labs site and click 'My Downloads.' and if you are a registered Aalto user, you should see a link there.
There are a few new features, but mostly version 1.6 represents a long push on stability and compatibility. Some long-standing issues have been fixed. Aalto is a much tighter ship with better MIDI timing, faster graphics, and faster loading times across the board. Please see the readme for a complete list of the changes.
In addition to the new code in 1.6, the patches installer has a bunch of great new patches. Thanks go out to Complex / Zensound, AKA Adrian Jimenez, and to radiokoala for the contributions. Visit the Aalto page to get the presets installer for your platform of choice.
Call for input: Soundplane to CV module
This year, we would like to make a Eurorack module that converts Soundplane to CV / gate with no computer needed. But we don’t actually know that much about Eurorack best practices. So we thought we’d start by soliciting input. If you can imagine using a Soundplane with your modulorz and have ideas about how to make that a great experience, please check on the discussion at the forums.
Spring plans
Soundplane owners are due a software update in the near future that should improve sensitivity and play well with the new MIDI note per channel mode in Aalto.
I also have a new kind of instrument in the works that will round out the [ Aalto / Kaivo / ??? ] trilogy. Sorry it's too soon for screenshots just yet, but there will be plenty more details this spring. Please stay tuned.
