"Throwing some analog synthesizers together to come up with this lush song, dedicated to my dear friend who is nearing the end with her battle with cancer. Her name is Melissa Whipp but she is mostly known by her friends and family as 'Mighty Mouse.'

The 2 Moog Mother-32's talk to each other to set the mood, followed by tones from the MS-10 sequenced and CV'ed by the Korg SQ1. After bringing in the thick driving Sub Phatty bass, the choirs from Kontact are mixed in via AxiomPro69's MIDI controller, giving the song a rise, with angelic choirs taking over the journey that was left behind.

I just bought this rare vintage Moog Satellite Analog
Synthesizer & I just think it is soooooo freaking cool!
I wanted the Minimoog classic lead sound & WHAM!!!!!
I got it -and then some! Killer 1970's REAL VIBE & SOUND!

In the video I tweak the Moog Satellite using "Color" in the
Filter Section, a little GATE, Sustain, Vibrato & Tremolo...
Showing also how LOW this baby can go. A CLEAN LO-END.
Not any distortion even at it's lowest levels in the mix!
Buttery, sweet, classic, real 70's.... very happy I got this synth!

Recorded into Ableton Live 7 with Simple Delay Effects!"

"Hikikomori (ひきこもり or 引き籠もり Hikikomori, literally "pulling inward, being confined", i.e., "acute social withdrawal") is a Japanese term to refer to the phenomenon of reclusive adolescents or adults who withdraw from social life, often seeking extreme degrees of isolation and confinement. The term hikikomori refers to both the sociological phenomenon in general and the people belonging to this societal group. Hikikomori have been described as recluses, loners, or "modern-day hermits."
I think I leave the house too much to qualify(although google images turn up some eerily similar looking rooms)...Ha. The samples are from some weird clip before a documentary on YouTube that had been taken off an old VHS TV recording. It was a preacher going off on heroine/meth/crack from the point of view of the drugs or the addiction itself. Unfortunately his rhyme was then cut short by the start of the actual documentary(or there would have been more). We'll try for less dark subject matter in the next one, but there is a big backlog of sad documentary’s on the sampling block. Have a bite of the weird side of YouTube today, and enjoy your coming weeks. Musically "withdraw" with us. Thanks for watching and listening!
