"Perfect working condition. The latest and best version 2.02

From the Jomox website:

'Jomox introduces their first major analog real-time synthesizer. It's a true analog with 8 voices housed in a classic looking desktop-style case with wood end-cheeks, 40 knobs, 42 buttons and 85 LED's! It's also rack-mountable if you prefer.

The SunSyn features 2 analog oscillators (VCO's) per voice. The waveforms include sawtooth, square and pulse with pulsewidth-modulation. But in addition to these are the new Ramp Controlled Oscillators (RCO's). The RCOs follow the VCO characteristics like modulation, sync, tuning and frequency alterations. The RCO's use digital sounds which come from 4 wavesets, each with 256 waveforms each. In effect, these digital sounds get an analog treatment for nicer, warmer and fatter tones.
There are 4 RCO's per voice and wavesets can be added via PCMCIA-card.

The filter section is also a true analog design but with very modern features. It is a 4-pole filter but fully configurable with independent high pass and low pass features available. Create filters that range from the sounds of a Minimoog, to the squelchy 303. Filter settings can be stored in one of two scene memories and real-time Morphing between scenes can be accomplished.

As for modulation, JoMoX has devised a clever Routing System for the SunSyn, turning it into an 8-voice modular! It is used to virtually patch between various modules or parameters. There are up to 4 Routing Elements per voice with 4,096 possible combinations per Routing Element. Modulation paths are configured using the front panel display screens. This modular approach to signal routing is a feature usually found only on the huge, expensive classic Modular synths by ARP, E-mu, Moog and Buchla. Unlike those, however, the SunSyn features complete patch memory (350 patches and 150 multi-patches) and multitimbral MIDI implementation. Most parameters can be controlled by MIDI, and controller/editor templates for most sequencers will be, or already are available. As for output, there are stereo outs, 8 freely routable individual outs and a stereo input to run external audio through the Routing system.'"

Mannequins Mangrove demo

Published on Dec 6, 2016 Perfect Circuit Audio

"The Mangrove Formant Oscillator is an interesting take on the classic VCO. Its design is based on acoustic reed instruments and their natural resonators. Air, Formant and Barrel controls all warp the waveshapes in one way or another, with their interaction leading to new effects. With certain controls, the Mangrove locks to subharmonics, providing suboctaves and subfifths, depending on the controls."

Jr. High Sequential Circuits Pro One Keyboard Synthesizer SN 9534

"Background on the product: It was purchased new by a Jr. High school in the 90's for use as a bass unit for the band. It came to our tech shop shortly after with a damaged membrane keyboard and split wood sides due to a basketball landing on the keyboard. Parts were too costly at the time so the unit was scrapped and sat on a shelf for the last 20 years. I recently decided to bring it to life so here is what has been done:

A retro fitted J-wire keyboard taken from a sound chaser 90's music system (pratt and reed J wire) with all new bushings and an original PCB from a pro one hand wired and soldered into place to maintain DIP socket connectivity from a ribbon cable. New plastic bushing and repair on AC cord. New fuse system. New Black Walnut Wood sides with 4 coats of urethane. New noise generator (hand picked from a bucket of them for the noisiest one). New Logo badges. lightly sanded and re painted bottom, and VCO calibration. It cosmetically looks awesome.

What does not work is the arpeggiator/sequencer which uses an 8021 obsolete chip. I have not confirmed the chip is bad however. If that is important, a retrofit (and superior) sequencer with MIDI is available on eBay. Some pots are scratchy from the long years of sit, but it was always stored inside. Action on the keyboard is GREAT! Welcome back Pro-One for use once again!"

Alesis Andromeda Unleashes Enormous Pad Soundscapes Demo #4

Published on Dec 6, 2016 gstormelectro

"Audio and Video by G-Storm Electro c.2016

The Alesis Andromeda synthesizer unleashes huge pad soundscapes. These pads range from OMG to WTF, and cut a swath right through the mix. So hide your daughters and cherished pets. I was going to do a Matrix-12 demo but that synth bricked this past weekend. Hence the sarcasm and sad face :( These are not your factory sounds. Audio recorded direct to Tascam DR-05 through a Mackie mixer. Click the LIKE button right now. No, really. Thanks for watching."

"An exceptionally-clean example and unusually for sale complete with original stand, pedal, music stand and manual in its folder. Working very well indeed - just back from a complete service.

The condition is very good overall - there are some scuffs to finish, mostly on the edges of the woodwork, and one ding to the top left rear corner, but overall this is in exceptional and complete condition. Click on the photos to zoom in and see more shots.

Model number on the bottom is Type 13GM751 15T. it's a sold state (transistorized) unit.
