Isotonik Studios Factorsynth – Machine Learning Tool for Live

JJ Burred - FactorSynth - Demo from Isotonik Studios on Vimeo.

via Isotonik Studios

"Factorsynth is a new kind of musical tool. It uses machine learning techniques to decompose any input sound into a set of temporal and spectral elements. By rearranging and modifying these elements you can do powerful transformations to your clips, such as removing notes or motifs, creating new ones, randomizing melodies or timbres, changing rhythmic patterns, remixing loops in real time, creating complex sound textures...

Unlike traditional audio effect devices, which take the track’s audio input and generate output in real time, Factorsynth is a clip-based device. It works on audio clips from your Live set that you have selected and loaded into Factorsynth. Once an audio clip has been selected and loaded into Factorsynth, it can then be decomposed into elements. The decomposition process is called factorization, because it is based on a technique called matrix factorization."

The SK20 Is a bit of a jack of all trades. Theres an organ section, a string section, and an analog Polysynth section available to be mixed together at your preference. I decided to separate each sound, as well as blend them together, making this arguably the widest sound palate of my packs thus far. I hope you enjoy it! If you like our packs, jams, and videos please subscribe to our channel!"

"This is the real deal, not the Korg remake, but you already knew that if you're looking at this listing! :) This is a 70s Arp Odyssey 2810 synth, which is technically a MKII but if you know about these, you know there are different subtle varients within the MK1 or 2 family. This particular unit has the 4-pole 4035 filter which is essentially a copy of the Moog Ladder Filter. This is one of the better filters amongst the Oddyssey crop! This one also has the factory installed CV/Gate Ins and Outs. Sweet!

This unit has been fully refurbished to be in the same playing condition as when it was brand new. There are some scratches on the back panel of the unit, but other than that, cosmetically it is very good. When I say it is refurbished, I do not mean a half baked job like some people do. EVERYTHING has been attended to here and all functions work:

-Full keybed tear down and replace/lubricate key bushings, deoxidize, straighten, and protect all whisker contact wires and bus bars.
-Full cleaning of all parts including circuit boards
-Replacement of all IC chips and Op Amp DIPs. All commonly failiing chips have been replaced!
-Replacement of all commonly failing capacitors on Power Board, Board A, B, and C.
-Replacement of tantalum capacitors on the filter module
-Replacement of 100% of the sliders with factory-grade replacements
-Replacement of all colored slider caps (except pink because they don't make these anymore! I figure it's better to have slightly faded pink caps instead of ones that are the wrong color!)
-Deoxidize and lubricate all switches and pitch bend pot
-Full factory test point check with voltmeter and oscilloscope and full factory trim/tune procedure completed

This synth is ready to go and get funky!"
