"Electronic Dream Plant Wasp and Spider. Also included is a custom Anvil road case that fits the two pieces, and a 7-pin DIN cable to connect the Wasp and the Spider. Both pieces are in very good cosmetic and functional condition. These were obtained from the original owner who packed them away in the 80's and never brought them back out till recently, which accounts for their condition. The battery compartment on the Wasp shows no sign of battery leakage, but the battery terminals have been cut out."

"For your consideration is a beautiful Oberheim Four Voice. The synth has been serviced recently and is in very good shape. The original tolex, on the body of the synth was replaced with white vinyl material sometime in the 1970's. It still looks good, and the lid to the Four Voice still has it's original black tolex.
Only offering local pickup for this big one.

The Oberheim FVS-1 (Four Voice) is a 49 key, polyphonic analog synthesizer, featuring dual oscillators (with sync), resonant multimode (low, band, notch, or high pass with FM) filter, dual ADS envelopes, an LFO, 16 presets, proprietary tape interface, and CV IO.

Oberheim only made about 800 of these between 1974-79. Each voice has its own module each containing all analog synthesis with 2- voltage controlled oscillators per voice module and with some external programming capability. There is a two-pole multimode VCF, VCA, two ASR envelope generators, and one LFO. Memory contains 16 presets, VCO:8 (sawtooth, square or pulse), LFO:4, Portamento, Vibrato,VCF(bandpass, lowpass, notch, highpass)
This model includes the Polyphonic Synthesizer Programmer which stores 16 patches per voice and was recently fully serviced and calibrated (over $800 service). Includes the cover and a well-used but readable original manual."

How to: Spastic cellos via modular synth (Carter's 6th String Quartet)

Published on Nov 16, 2018 Peter Grenader

"How to replicate the sound of spastic cellos much like Elliot Carter's acoustic cello part in his 6th String Quartet.

huh?

Before you snark me, you'll understand my humor in the first 20 seconds on this instruction. ha ha. If you watch the rest you may get some insight on how to create some really interesting cello timbres using granular synthesis on a modular. enjoy (or not!)"

Planar 2 Gets Wild With Rainmaker

Published on Nov 16, 2018 Intellijel

"Using an audio rate source to trigger the shaped pulse on Rainmaker can yield some interesting results. Especially when you modulate a few parameters with Planar 2!

In this case the SENSE output is opening a VCA to allow a Dixie Pulse wave to activate Rainmaker's TRIG input. Planar is providing modulation to the DELAY and COMB feedback through A and C; X and Y are controlling SIZE and 1V/OCT in the Comb section; Finally B is sent to Rainmakers MOD input and D is providing FM to Dixie."
