"Just got this back from Synth Spa a few weeks ago. Mint condition and looks great in white on black.
Totally refurbished inside and out. All voice chip refurbished, re caped, clean pots and sliders even the chorus is quiet!!! I’ve had a few 106s in the past and this sounds better than any of them.
This was my old HS-60 chopped to 37 keys. The keys are nice and white and play as new!
There are only a dozen or so of these Juniors floating around, this is the newest and arguably the best 106 you can find, either as a 37 or full 61.

Great way to get into Yamaha 6-Op FM synthesis like the original DX7. Newer DACs so it might have a cleaner sound. One cool thing about the DX200, and the Volca FM for that matter, is they have macro controls that allow you to change multiple parameters in real time.
The original data knob on these end up skipping values if turned too quickly. This one appears to have been fixed.

Floppy Drive on your S900 not working?
Does it take a while to warm up before the floppy starts working right?
You may be able to bring your disk drive back to life and/or improve its performance with a little cleaning and maintenance. In this video I show how the S900 floppy drive can be removed and cleaned with some simple tips.
Why would anyone want to mess w/ archaic floppy disk drives? While USB drive emulators are available which greatly increase the
convenience and storage capacity of sample banks...
For me it's nostalgia. I just like floppies, you can still find boxes of blank floppies at thrift stores and garage sales. I also still use cassette tapes, some vinyl, and still buy CDs as well.
These tips may not guarantee results in every situation. The S950
and other samplers may differ in design/construction. However, these tips may possibly help you with other devices like E-mu, Ensoniq, Kawai, etc.
