THREETOM modular / Steve's MS-22 Dual VCF / Envelope and sub modulation

Published on Nov 29, 2019 Threetom Modular

"I'm THREETOM modular, a small modular synthesizer company based in Belgium. Steve's MS-22 is my first module. I also do SMD repairs and DIY assembly.

Leading up to the release, I will be updating the website (so far, I've added a new page that explains the philosophy behind ThreeTom). I'll also release another demo video, showing off the MS-22's resonance, ability to serve as a surprisingly complex drone generator and as a pinged percussion source."

Dreadbox Erebus V3 - 50 Custom Patches

Dreadbox Erebus 3 - "Floating Matter" - 50 Patches

"Several months ago we took the synth for a test and we fell in love with it immediately. So we decided to create the soundset to express our passion to Erebus.

The bank consists of 50 patches:
10 Bass
16 Leads
8 Pads
10 Plucks
6 Sequences

As the synth is fully analog, there’s no way to save timbres.
The only way to share the patches is a «classical» cookbook, a catalog with images of the patches.

Also, you get an audio file, demo for each patch, in order to listen to the way it should sound if the patch is recreated correctly.

Moreover each page of the catalog includes notes that help you to create the patch or give the ideas of how to tweak it after it’s done.

Each patch includes modulation via ModWheel.
This gives an opportunity to control expression of the timbre and morph the sound between different states.

The patches are of different level of complexity.

Some are quite simple, musical and suitable for many purposes.
Some are pretty tricky and will delight the experiments lovers.

The heart of the synth is its patchbay.
For creating different kind of timbres up to 6 patchcords were used.

Make sure you have at least 6 patchcords to recreate these patches."

"Winter Modular Eloquencer in perfect working condition. It has been in a case as long as I have owned it. Minor rack rash from the mounting screws, other than that it's in perfect shape. This is a very powerful 8 channel sequencer, one of the best sequencer in the eurorack world."

Crumar Composer - Improvisation and noodling

Published on Nov 29, 2019 Italian Vintage Stuff!

"A video to show some of the textures and sounds you can get out of the Crumar Composer, a mono and poly synth, string machine and organ, all in one instrument.
Skipped some of the things on board, such as the organ section, mono-section after touch and the rather limited breath control (!)"

"The arcade. I spent so many hours there back in the late 80s. Now there are no arcades left in my area. As a reminder of what it used to be, and what it meant to me I give you this track.

"I went to Berklee College of Music from 1995-99. This was the height of the analog synth resurgence, and there was a thriving market of classic analog synths in Boston. I picked this up from an independent dealer for about $500 if I remember correctly. It looks and works today as well as it did when I got it.

While at Berklee, I got to attend a small gathering of students and faculty to hear Bob Moog speak about his storied career. I had lugged the Source to the event, so when I got to meet him and chat afterwards, I asked him to sign it. He kind of chuckled but he accommodated my request. I know the Source was not one of his originals, but it had a special place in my heart from playing a friend’s while in high school, and it still had the Moog name."
