Night-time Lockdown Hangs with the Novation Summit (and a little wine...)

Mike Pensini

"Testing the updated live-streaming setup with a little sound-design/noodling on the Summit x"

PM Foundations Chorus

Randy Piscione

"This is a demo of the PM Foundations Chorus Eurorack module. You can get it here:
http://www.tindie.com/products/pmfoun.... This module generates six copies of the input saw wave, each out of phase with the original and with each other. The phase differences are continually changing using six internal trapezoid oscillators. This effect replicates six VCOs tuned closely together to generate a rich, dynamic super saw wave. This module is a tribute to David Ward-Hunt who designed a waveform multiplier unit that was subsequently included in the Digisound-80 synthesizer"

The DIY Strings/Choir-Synthesizer 3.0 Demo

Andreas Remshagen

"This is the second Modification of my DIY Strings/Choir-Synthesizer
You hear 15 different Sound-examples repeating the same theme
- Please write in the comments which is your favorite!
Each Strings-Group from the four Groups has its own CV-1V/Oct in
and each is connected to one CV-out of a Polyend Poly2. So there is a
4-voice-Polyphony playable over a PC or a MIDI-keyboard. I added a
Gate-in that is connected to the poly2's first gate-out. The gate in drives
a variable Attack-Release for the whole Strings.
one Oscillator in each Strings-Group is tuned one Octave higher
for a larger sound
The Effects i used are a
modified behringer Vintage-Phaser (i'll explain in my next vid) and a
Yamaha FX-500.
the Settings of the FX-500 are:

REV + MOD on,

REV: TYP: DLY, MIX: 50, LVL: +1, L-DLY: 150.0, R-DLY: 300.0, FB: 1, L=R

MOD: TYP: SYM, SPED: 0.7, DEP: 80, MIX: 90, LVL: +5

The Attack-Release cirquit i took from Ray Wilsons Noise-Toaster
The VCA circuit comes from YuSynths site www.yusynth.net
The full description of the Strings-Synth you'll find in the first Strings-Synth
Video"

GRP & ARP

coyotesynth

"Short and straightforward electro track demonstrating the ARP2600FS, the GRP Synth A4 and the Analog Rytm Mk1.

All synths/drumbox are processed through the ARP2600FS (the AR being overdriven by the ARP preamp). Sequenced by the GRP A4 sequencer.

Not any single outboard FX, nor plug-in used. What you hear is what comes from the ARP2600FS, because summing is done within the ARP2600FS."

Best Ambient Synth Shootout #98: Alesis S4 QuadraSynth - Song 3

Christian's Sonic Spaces

"This is the third song with the S4 QuadraSynth. It's a 64 voice 16-part multitimbral ROM-based synthesizer from the early 90s.

I used for the recording the following FX chain:
S4 QuadraSynth - Digitech Obscura - Pigtronix Echolution 2 Deluxe - GFI System Specular Reverb 2. Depending on the recorded track some FX are deactivated.

The signal went through a Presonus StudioLive 16.0.2 into the PC via USB for recording. To create the complete song I recorded consecutively several stereo tracks. The final song was then mastered with a bit EQ and compression on some tracks and some limiting on the master track."

Critter & Guitari - GardenerPops (Organelle x Bastl softPop)

Critter & Guitari

Download Constant Gardener here: https://patchstorage.com/constant-gar...
The @Bastl Instruments softPop is a fun analog synth that makes some wild tones. We thought it would be a good idea to transpose those tones with Constant Gardener, a vocoder patch for the Organelle. Using the 'dry/wet' control, we blended the transpositions with the original sound and found harmony.
