Sonicware Liven Bass & Beats Prototype, XFM, Behringer Neutron - Unfriendly Electro _ Song-a-day 2022

video upload by ChrisLody

Liven Bass & Beats Prototype posts

"Right, getting back on the jams with Song-a-day 2022 which a challenge not unlike Jamuary, but in February obviously.

I've been super busy on development of the Liven Bass & Beats (prototype shown here) as well as other things which is why things have been so quiet here recently. I'm determined to make more spare time in February but it remains to be seen if I'll have enough time to make a track everyday in February. This is also one of my first chances to play around with the Behringer Neutron that I found second hand recently at a very good price

In this jam the Bass & Beats is playing an Electro rhythm on a kit I made as well as a gritty sounding bass patch. The Liven XFM is sequencing the Behringer Neutron (via midi) on a muted track and also playing strings on a separate track. I imagine this combo will appear more over the month. Not the most amazing bit of work arrangement wise this but I was pushed for time today. I'll probably warm up as the month goes on, fingers crossed."

Fusion Vol 1 - Performances 26 to 50 - Nord Wave 2

video upload by GEOSynths

GEOSynths Nord Wave 2 posts

"Buy Now - https://www.geosynths.com/nord-wave2

Here you can hear the last 25 Performances (of 50) I have made with the Nord Wave 2. Most of the Performances are made up from 3 or 4 Layers and use a combination of VA, FM, Wavetables and Samples. There are some Custom Samples used which I have sampled from the Moog Matriarch, Behringer Cat, VC340, Leipzig S and Moog Sirin for every note.

Al Patches have Wheel, Aftertouch and Pedal assigned. You will need around 130mb of Free Space to Load the Custom Samples.

Moog muSonics V project A

video upload by MOS-LAB

"The sonic V is a synth developed around 1969/1970 by ex Moog employee Gene Zumcheck
(the idea of a portable synthesizer had been refused at the time by Robert Moog).
This synthesizer was built by the company muSonics when Gene Zumchek join them, and was released "officially" when the company bought R.A Moog in 1971 under the Moog muSonics badge.
There were less than a hundred units built (mine has serial number 18).
Unfortunately, very few models are still in existence today, making it a very rare instrument. Not having been exported at the time, it was mainly
intended for universities in USA.
Its successor, the Sonic 6 is an improved and portable version, but with a different filter (Moog ladder filter)
So it doesn't sound quite the same."

ONLY Moog Would: $5000 Worth of Feelings 😬

video upload by Noir Et Blanc Vie

"*Subjective opinions within, those who do not understand subjective opinion may be excused lol*

So, if you have the infinite money glitch in life, I guess I finally made the video for you. For the rest of you, understand that this video was hard to make because of the internal conflicts of price. That said, nobody should spend money on anything just because some other musician praises it. The gear wont make you better, PRACTICE WILL....lol Is it the greatest hardware vocoder I've ever used sonically?....YES, but watch to understand more."

MakeNoise Mult | A Cheap & Small Superpower

video upload by Cinematic Laboratory

"It started off as a joke for #Jamuary2022 DAY 31. I thought it would be fun to use the most boring module I could find before the LabRats took over the video with a Punk Rock performance. I got some comments of people 'regretting' the Mult video was lost. Then I realized that nobody ever made a video about that Mult. I never gave it any consideration because the Shared System has this huge CV Bus in the middle. It's kind of taken for granted. But mults (any mult) are superpowers. If you don't have a mult in your case, it's hard to reach its full potential. You can use stackable cables, but that will only lead to cable clutter. The Mult is a cheap, boring and small module, but it's an underestimated superpower. So this video is not a joke. It may even surprise you! Cheers!"

V.A.I. 64 - CRB Oberon / CRB Computerband 2000

video upload by Vintage Audio Institute Italia

"Another little video with some neat CRB equipment, the CRB Oberon is a two oscillator monophonic synth from the late 70s.
The CRB Computerband 2000 came out a few years later and is a classic auto accompaniment machine with 4 sections"

Note it's branded Computer Band 2000.

Lavender Sea | Korg Opsix Ambient

video upload by r beny

"Inspired by a dream I recently had.

Hello. It's been a while. Last year was tough, but I am back after a long focus on my mental and physical health.

Recently picked up a Korg Opsix and I have found it to be a sound design dream. The open architecture of the operators creates a semi-modular routing environment, where you can route any oscillator to any oscillator, including themselves for feedback. Because of this and the ability to use tuned comb filters, wave shapers, filters, and other sound shapers as operators, you can take the Opsix beyond FM into other areas such as physical modeling and additive synthesis.

This is a piece heavily utilizing FM feedback (to create textured pads and beds of noise) and physical modeling (karplus strong).

Thanks to those who have stuck around and as always thank you for listening/watching."
