How to use bandpass filters for sound sculpting - with ADDAC 603 triple bandpass filter

video upload by Monotrail Tech Talk

"Bandpass filters are powerful sound design tools. They can create unique textures and effects, can function as high pass and low pass filters as well, and are often overlooked. In this video I explain the power of the band pass filter, go over the functions and features of the ADDAC 603 triple bandpass filter, and then dive into a series of patch-tips!

Timetable:
00:00 – Intro
01:28 – Bandpass power
02:59 – ADDAC 603
04:53 – Single filter patches
09:54 – Dual filter patches
15:18 – Triple filter patches"

Torso T-1 Performance Demo with Spitfire´s new GAIKA - War Island pack

video upload by Thoow

"While further exploring the possibilities of the Torso T-1 I received an email form Spitfire Audio with their latest release: GAIKA - War Island. A perfect start point for an easy setup. After quickly arranging different sounds of the pack across the 16 tracks in my T-1 template I was ready to put some triggers here and there. Hit record on the cams - and here we are. So easy and so much fun to create stuff with the T-1. I am just touching the surface here and use mostly mutes to change interest. But there are way more option with Cycles, randomization and probabilities...."

Playlist:

1. M Tron MkII - Watcher Of The Skies intro
Using the M-Tron MkII, ace keys player Nigel Hopkins has recreated some legendary MkII parts. Here, he tackles Watcher Of The Skies intro originally recorded by Tony Banks for the Genesis album Foxtrot in 1974. This sound made use of both MkII Manuals with Accordion Bass Notes & Organ Notes in the left manual, and a layered MkII Violins and Brass sound in the right manual.
2. M Tron MkII - Strawberry Fields Forever
Using the M-Tron MkII, Nigel Hopkins has recreated some iconic Melly parts originally played on the hardware MkII. Here, he tackles the Strawberry Fields Forever flute part.
3. M Tron MkII - Starless
Nigel Hopkins has kindly recreated some legendary tracks using the M-Tron MkII. Here, he tackles King Crimson's Starless string part.
4. M Tron MkII - Nights In White Satin
Again, our good friend Nigel Hopkins has recreated some legendary tracks using the M-Tron MkII. Here, he tackles The Moody Blues Nights In White Satin string part.

V.A.I. 67 CRB Computerband 2000 / CRB Oberon

video upload by Vintage Audio Institute Italia

"Another little track we threw together with these rare oddballs.
The CRB Computerband 2000 is a four section auto-accompaniment stand-alone unit usually built in to big, furniture style home organs.
The CRB Oberon is a monophonic synthesizer made in a very limited run by the same company around the same time. It has two oscillators plus an added 3rd more limited and with 4 footages it can get quite big, but this time around we wanted a more delicate lead sound out of it."
