"This VS was previously used with the upmost of care - only small cosmetic blemishes can be seen on the chassis (minor surface scratches and finish chips). Electronically, it is pristine and functions just as well as the day it was purchased. The Prophet VS was way ahead of its time; packed with incredible sounds and functions, the Prophet VS rivals some of the best sounding synths from today. The Prophet VS uses Vector Synthesis as its revolutionary new means of sound creation. It uses a total of four oscillators per voice with 127 waveforms (32 user) and dynamic waveform crossfading via the joystick. This was Sequential's first digital synth, and it was also their final synth, unfortunately. The Prophet VS is still a very sought after instrument because it has an incredible range of sounds!"

"The Korg Sigma is a monophonic analog synthesizer made in Japan in 1979. It is a largely underestimated vintage synthesizer, because it is not widely used. Its organ-like appearance must have contributed to its commercial failure? open, it is a synthesizer with a very strong personality and expressiveness! The Korg Sigma is also a secret weapon for a sound designer. The Korg Sigma offers 2 distinct sections: the SYNTHE section and the INSTRUMENT section. Both sections are mixable and each have their own separate audio output. The SYNTHE section offers several stackable waveforms, each waveform has a setting: some have a combined ATTACK RELEASE setting, some a DECAY setting. The INSTRUMENT part offers 11 different sounds. These are the "typical" analog sounds of the late 70s; As for the SYNTHE section, each sound of the INSTRUMENT part has a setting, some offer an ATTACK setting, some offer a filter opening/cutting setting, others offer a TONE setting... As in the SYNTHE section all sounds in the INSTRUMENT section are stackable. There is also a RING MOD which sounds great and can be influenced by any Sigma source. "All rhythm patterns work without problems. The exterior is also in very beautiful condition. Complex rhythm patterns can be configured by pressing multiple switches at the same time. Subjectively, I feel it has a more elegant sound than Roland's Rhythm Arranger. I have uploaded a demo play on Youtube, so please take a look.

The power amp is also working and can be used as a powered amp. The VU meter has been replaced with a new one from Echo Fix and is in excellent condition. A very rare Japanese manual is included. Customized by Tom Oberheim and Marion Systems
In 1998 I sent the unit back to Marion Systems for an upgrade. They added a second Analog Synth Module (ASM) and upgraded the O.S. I was working as a tech at E-mu Systems and Tom Oberheim called me at work and we talked about my love for all synths Oberheim. He told me he could disable the EQ in the MSR-2 and get an addition al 3 DB of gain. I told him that would be great, they removed EQ, and the volume gain is significant. Tom was really nice and it was an honor, as an EE myself, to talk to him.
So yes this is a customized MSR-2 by Tom Oberheim and his Marion Techs. The Eq section screen is still there in software, but has no effect since disabled
Custom programmed SuperPatch sounds
I have created several Super Patches as shown in video below to show the power of this synth. The Super Patches are organized in groups
