1970's Polymoog 280A and Dynacord DRS-78 reverb
Published on Sep 19, 2014 SPFXsynthesisers
"Random doodling on a 280a connected to a Dynacord digital reverb system and connected to camera audio input (hence grainy audio quality).
Just going through the presets and controls and playing random stuff to demo the sounds.
Dynacord Reverb is a bit noisy/hissy."

Dynacord ADD-one + Add-drive 12 bit Drum Machine Sampler Synth
Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction
"Up for auction is this killer 12 bit/analogue drum machine, sampler and synth from the mid 80s in perfect working condition. With 12 bit sampling followed by a fully analogue CEM resonant filter and envelope it has a similar design to the EMU SP1200 and PPG wave and is an amazing machine. This really does sound incredible:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydH6PZoDm-c [posted here]
With midi control and some very deep programming this has to be one of if not the best sounding and most versatile drum machine/samplers ever created.
The sound is incredibly punchy and fat, it's basically like a more fully spec'd and modern sp1200 in a rack but with fully programmable analogue CEM resonant filters and snappy envelopes.
Use it as a drum machine, sampler or synth. With full midi controls and trigger inputs it was designed as a very high professional drum brain. In terms of sound creation possibilities and sound quality, this is probably only rivalled by the Simmons SDX.
This comes with the ADD-drive to allow sampling of your own sounds on top of those built into the ADD-one rom and loading samples from disk. It also comes with 15 disks of samples to get you started. Compatible with the HxC floppy drive emulator, further samples can be found online at it's also compatible with the Akai S900 disks!
This is fully working and in near perfect condition..."

[DEMO] Dynacord Vocoder SRV-66 = Synton Syntovox 222
Published on Jun 6, 2013 LESINDES·94 videos
"The Dynacord SRV-66 Vocoder is a liscensed clone of the SYNTOVOX 222 made by the legendary Dutch company Synton. It is also labelled ECHOLETTE SEV-66. All the three vocoders are identical.
They have 20 bands (10 for analysis and 10 for synthesis) and a voiced-unvoiced detector. The comprehensibility of speech is very good.
Is to be used very easily and intuitively.
The sound is much better than that of its peers: Korg VC-10 and Roland SVC-350.
The recordings were made with SHURE SM58 or MACHINEDRUM UW-2 fed in the SPEECH inputs and SIEL ORCHESTRA 2 as the carrier. So the basic signal is all SRV-66 -- no mixer is involved!"

Fukushima 50 - nuclear echoes in our hearts
YouTube Uploaded by TouchedByInspiration on Mar 28, 2011
On the gear: "Nord Wave, and a very old tube-driven tape echo, produced by a german company called "Klemt" in the late 60's. As far as I know, this company finally became the german company 'Dynacord'. We recorded the piece with the Fostex LR16 and two Neumann mics for the piano. The mic signal was fed into the tape echo via an aux bus. Christiane was controlling the feedback of the tape echo manually while playing the piano. The recording was mixed afterwards in Logic 9."
follow-up to Sendai - Improvisation for the japanese people
On the performance:
"Piano-Performance by Christiane Dehmer.
The disaster in Japan still occupies me. The earthquake and the Tsunami are over now. But Fukushima and what it means for our world will remain.
In this video I play a piece of music that I have dedicated to the "Fukushima 50 ". When the disaster took its course in Fukushima, 50 workers remained in the damaged nuclear power plant, to avoid that the situation gets completely out of control. With primitive means they fought under the most adverse circumstances against the radioactive danger and put their lives to risk. The catastrophe of Fukushima and the actions of these people show once again that bravery, courage and personal commitment in the face of the complete failure of high-technology is the only reality that we have. Security, however, is an illusion.
The piece was recorded live during the night of 24.3.2011. I played piano, synthesizer and vocals. In addition, I used a more than 40 years old tube tape echo (Echolette S) which produced pretty crazy sounds from the piano. This ancient device and its distorted sound symbolizes in a special way, how outdated and not very controllable some of our technologies became.
Listen to the echoes in our hearts...

Rare Dynacord EC 280 vintage desktop echo box
via this auction
"ow, this really is a unique specimen. It's pretty large, it's old, it crackles and sometimes pops, but everything works and when you get her tuned right, you will be in vintage audio reverbecho heaven. I'm sure Boards of Canada have one of these in their studio. It lets you route signals in all sorts of odd ways (I've used just this and a mixer to pretty amazing affect!) and create the most detuned, odd, dreamy and sometimes downright dreadful audio you ever heard. Because its some sort of weird hybrid, its pretty unpredictable, apart from that theres one knob that always delivers the detuned weirdness! you can feed anything into this and get amazing results, it sounds especially good after a preamp and before ableton live on a guitar signal. It's old, so there is some case damage, but she's 75% cosmetic. functionally its hard to say because its difficult to know what everything is supposed to do, but it all does what you'd expect, so it's 99% functionally perfect in my opinion. it's just got a lead coming out the back, no batteries, no PSU hassle. it works on UK voltage. not sure what else to say apart from that this is a close to unique opportunity to acquire a legendary and very rare desktop reverb unit."
