"Nice sounding retro sampler / synth keyboard from the mid / late 80s - the one with the analogue filters. Paul Nagle wrote a funny but also accurate retro about it in 1997: https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/korg-dss1 . Big and heavy, but good-sounding, with lots of extra treats in store for people who go looking for them. The weak link was usually the disk drive - but this has been solved on this example with an HxC drive, with the display helpfully in the wide open spaces above where the disk drive used to be. Packing 24GBP for a custom carton - to include a UK or Euro mains lead (with the pesky 2-pin rectangular shape). The DSS-1 has been stored in a very nice flightcase - see next lot - but we won't courier it in the case."

Tom Cat Thru Kaoss Replay (The Cursed Gear)
video upload by HardtekStudios
"Time to check out what the Kaoss Replay can do to a Hardtek Studios classic. I ran the output of the Tom Cat into the mic input to make things easy. No processing was done past the Kaoss Replay."

Korg Modwave | Soundpack "GLOOMY" - Demo 1 | No talking
video upload by xu.sounddesign - dirk rohde
"This is soundpack 'GLOOMY' with 50 ambient patches designed for the Korg Modwave. There are more demos of this cool soundpack.
All in all there are 50 new performances in the package with smoking pads, grainy strings, organic drones and deep textures. No external effects were used in the demos. All effects are internal effects of the Korg Modwave.
No other hardware was used. No compressor, no limiter, no equalizer, nothing, but the pure Modwave.
All patches are fully compatible with the software-version 'Korg Modwave Native VST'.
I designed all the sounds myself. If you´re interested in these 50 sounds, please send me an email (xu.sounddesign@gmx.net). Please check your spam-folder."

Playing the Korg Kronos and Sequential Take 5.
video upload by Eric Jones
"Here I’m just demonstrating how I like to use the synths together. Sequential T5 has some excellent lead sounds and you can convert any sound into a mono lead sound add a touch of a button. I love that because it allows me to experience certain sounds in a different way."

MicroKORG 2 - Let's Build: an Automatic Acid Bass Machine
video upload by Oscillator Sink
"Apparently I'm all about that bass as in this video I'm designing an Acid Bassline patch. We dive into how we can affect the behaviour of the appegiator to build slides and accents into the patch and then explore the powerful distortion effects.
Transparency notice:
I have had this synth since early this year as I worked on the factory patches for this synth, which was a paid job. I have not been asked to make any videos about the synth and am not being paid to do so, but obviously there is an existing relationship between myself and Korg as far as this synth goes, which I feel is important to disclose."

Phantasmal Force BETA firmware 2.0 + Kasser Arcade & NTS-3 Kaos Pad explorations
video upload by Arman Bohn
"Purchase the Phantasmal Force here:
www.distropolisgoods.com
Testing out the latest BETA firmware for the Phantasmal Force micro MIDI controller with some help from the Kasser Arcade FM synth and the Korg NTS-3.
The Arcade is making the sounds - but the Phantasmal Force is sequencing all the notes by running 8 generative, monophonic ARP sequences and modulating parameters on the Arcade via two CC LFOs.
I’ve been listening to variations of this setup for the last two weeks.
Firmware is in BETA. I’ll be sending a BETA invitation to people on my mailing list … if you’d like to try it - keep your eye out for the email."

October 10th Aurora!
video upload by Jeremy Parker
"Another incredible lightshow in my own backyard on October 10th, 2024! According to PBS, 'South Africa’s National Space Agency (Sansa) told reporters that the storm had originated from a solar flare 'that erupted from sunspot 3842 on October 3.' It said this was the strongest Earth-facing solar flare recorded by Sansa in the past seven years and that the eruption briefly affected high-frequency radio communications, 'resulting in a total radio blackout over the African region which lasted for up to 20 minutes.'.' Original music featuring sounds of the Polybrute and Opsix... Enjoy!"
