Peavey Spectrum Synth multi-timbral demo with MPC1000XL

Published on Jun 19, 2015 stereoping

"A little realtime arrangement demo-ing the Peavey Spectrum Synth. The Peavey plays all synth parts getting most out of it's 6-part multitimbrality: bells, dark analogue horns, cello pad, lead synth and 2 different bass sounds. Sequenced on the MPC1000 which also brings in the drums and some vocal samples of a Laurie Webb sample cd. Minimal setup: The Peavey's output is put into the MPC's sampling input to make use of the MPC's internal effects (Reverb&Delay). Hope you like it."

"TX802 FM module + Peavey PC1600x programmer Killer Combo. The PC1600x makes the editing of the TX as easy as can be. The settings can be changed while playing the TX with a keyboard or sequencer.

Tx802 is in very good condition. Faceplate is super clean. Normal scratches on sides, top and bottom. Left rack ear is a bit bent (see last picture). 100% Working.

The PC1600x is already loaded with 9 preset programs for editing most of the TX802 settings. 6 programs are for editing the six operators with controls for Pitch, Envellope and more. 3 programs are for general editing like LFO, Portamento... Of course the PC1600x can be programmed to control anything with MIDI."

"3 channel input single-space rackmount filter...

This is a unique unit that has analog filters and triggers for multiple purposes, you can trigger the filter from an LFO to effect your other signals. I used it with multiple oscillators, cheapo synthesizers, and guitars, sounds really unique."

Peavey DSC-4 Dual Clock Stereo Chorus Quick Demo with Oberheim Matrix-6

Published on Oct 7, 2012 by gstormelectro

http://gstromelectronica.blogspot.com/

"This is a quick demonstration of the Peavey DSC-4 Dual Clock Stereo Chorus. I stumbled across this pink nightmare in a second hand store for cheap. It was hard to pass up being an analog pedal. And holy sh*t it's made in USA. After my not finding any demos out there I wanted to make a quick demo of my own.

The DSC-4 is a mono input, stereo output effect pedal. It uses a simple sine wave on MOD 2, and a rectified wave on MOD 1. Each side of the chorus has its own speed and depth controls. This is an analog pedal using an MN3101 clock chip to drive an MN3007 Bucket Brigade chip. The pedal is capable of having one of its outputs fed back into the input for obnoxious noises as I show in Part 3.

Part 1 - Oberheim Matrix-6 Synthesizer, one synth voice enabled.
Part 2 - Fender Strat
Part 3 - Feedback loop using OUT A. Warning: loud obnoxious sounds.

Recorded straight to a Tascam DR-05 from an Alesis Multimix-8 mixer.
No other effects were used. This being a stereo effect demo make sure to listen on some decent studio monitors or headphones."

Peavey KOSMOS v1 Sub-Harmonic Synthesizer & HF Enhancement System

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated. via this auction
"The Kosmos provides an easy way to add depth to mixes, instruments or individual tracks without making the result sound unnatural. The KOSMOS® really can Rattle Your Planet! It is a low-frequency energy and stereo image enhancement system that will improve the audio quality of any sound system. In operation, its sub-harmonic (QUAKE) processor watches the source material, analyzes the bass, then generates additional low frequencies an octave below it. It tracks the original bass volume envelope thus avoiding the mud of other bass processors. The left-right stereo image can also be intensified with the high (XPANSE) control, which gives improved separation and clarity. All inputs and outputs are balanced. A green signal LED and a red peak indicator help you to avoid distortion. The sub-woofer output has its own 150hz crossover and level control, that is great for systems with subs."

THE CLAUDE CONTROLLER

THE CLAUDE CONTROLLER VID.mp4

YouTube Uploaded by sonicmanipulator on Mar 6, 2012

"This is my latest (and greatest) invention. It is a very sophisticated MIDI controller, allowing the player to articulate many parts of the sound - filters, envelopes.effects etc simultaneously using your left hand and feet. The right hand plays a keyboard with my patented 'Vibe Bar' for imparting vibrato & pitch bend.
I think it's going to be the future of the synthesiser controller!

It consists of 36 wheels and 2 joysticks.......with a pedalboard - 2 peddles and 4 switches..very playable, very cool.
The MIDI circuit is Livid Instruments MIDI Brain.

I like to think of a synthesiser more like an acoustic instrument - rather than an instrument containing 1000 different sounds, you have 1 sound with 1000 articulate-able variations.

What do you think?????........."

Note the Peavey MIDI Controller on the left of The Claude Controller.

PC-1600 with VFD mod

via Mark

"Here's my PC-1600 upgraded with version 2 software and a vacuum fluorescent display. This is a very easy mod to do. I did go to the trouble of gluing a grey gel filter to the inside of the clear window using optical glue. That step is optional, but these displays look a lot better with a dark filter in front of them. This VFD is Newhaven part number M0220SD-202SDAR1-1G. Arrives ready to install, no soldering necessary.

For those who are using the PC-1600, or are curious about it, I highly, highly recommend Jason Romney's PC-1600v, an OSX based emulator and preset editor that for me has completely unlocked the power of this excellent device. Check it out at http://cd-romney.com/pc-1600v/"

Peavey Spectrum Filter Processing A Korg DDD-5 Drum Machine

YouTube via martythevampire1 | July 12, 2010

"This is a Peavey spectrum filter processing a Korg DDD-5 Drum Machine. It is to show what effect it can have on a drum loop. I am mostly scrolling through a couple of different programs and tweeking things.

It features an ADSR Filter Envelope and a ADSR Amplitude envelope as well as the 24db/octave filter and resonance controls. It is processing the drums by the analog trigger level but can also be controlled by MIDI or CV."
