Moog MiniMoog Synthesizer Original User and Service Manuals

"Here is a demo of this italian 6 voice analog polysynth i'm selling (via this auction)
Unit was upgraded with the great Tauntek firmware and can now be controlled remotely over midi by Control Change with any controller.
In the demo I basically flip through the unit presets and edit some of them on the fly just to show how easy it is now to program this otherwise austere synth.
I didn't demo the bi-timbral feature of the rack. You can have 2 different presets, lower and upper, either layered ("double") or split. Lower and Upper parts can have their own audio output.
Preset from 76 to 99 are allocated for the performance presets and need to be dialed in (you can't use the + and - value switch to select those like I did on the video)."

"Italian 6 voice analog polysynth. This is the CEM 3328 version, not the SSM 2044 one, in the rare white colour.
This unit was serviced and upgraded and is in perfect working condition, see video.
What was done:
- power supply capacitors were replaced
- new battery was installed
- Tauntek new firmware eproms were installed. You can now control the unit directly over MIDI with CC with any hardware or software controller
- Midi thru socket was modified so that you can export your preset by sysex dump over midi (original could only export presets through the "tape" function)
It also comes with some goodies (well especially for french speaking person)
- original owner's manual + preset lists (in french)
- original schematics diagram
- original Crumar Bit range advertissement (in french)
- original inspection card from factory (this unit came out from factory in November 1985)
Condition is very good with only minor scuffs to the nice white metal paint."

FB-01 Vs MT-32 | History and Combat

"Yamaha FB-01 from 1986 and Roland MT-32 from 1987. Two modules that over time has gained a cult classic status. For different reasons. Before any of them became that, they were 2 multi timbral sound modules that fought for the money of the happy amateur musician in the mid-to late 80s.

The MT-32 had 32 voices of polyphony and had a simplified D-50 sound, effects and drums. The Polyphony came with one "downside", if the voices were made up of the maximum of 4 partials, the total polyphony was only 8 voices. The voices/partials were dynamically allocated so you didn't have to keep track of the numbers though.
The FB-01 has a total polyphony of 8 voices, but you can distribute those as you wish in a quite flexible way. 8 mono voices over 8 different midi channels was very new in 1986.
None of the modules made it possible to edit sounds on the front panel, so you needed a sysex editor for that."

All original complete Polymoog service manual - pull-out schmetics.
These are rare and don't come up often.
These schmetic drawings are for both models of the Polymoog.
As an added bonus you get a rare 203a brochure.
The brochure came from a late 70ies NAMM. They've sat in a filing cabinet for decades."

"Made in 1987 in Cottbus, former East Germany. Most likely based on Korg Poly-61 with some extras. Equipped with a fully functional MIDI system (in/out/thru(!)), a simple sequencer, chord memory, patch transfer function via tape interface and a rather unuseful Autotune function, which just freezes the synth (nothing bad happens, just turn it off and on).
Typical analog-poly sound combined with total rawness and uniqueness. Surprisingly quiet, less noisy than most of my gear. Keeps in tune, although hadn't been tuned by me and in years and years generally, so there might be a tiny repetitive difference between tones. But that definitely gives it some character anyway."

Covers the Arp 2600, Arp Odyssey, Arp Sequencer, Arp Quadra, Arp Axxe, Arp Pro DGX, Arp Arp Piano, Arp Arp Omni 2, Arp Quartet, Arp Accessories.
